Ha, ya. I did a ghetto tubeless job, and was waiting to make sure it seal all the way around before cutting off the excess.

Here is one afterwards.

Shakedown ride to the Garden on the wheels I just built for my single speed cyclocross bike.
It lost 2 pounds and is tubeless now.

Lol. Yeah, Ive done the 'ghetto tubeless' set-up a bunch.
It works, its cheap... saves a little weight... sucks bong water if you actually flat!
Now I just build my own wheels when I can afford to. My full suspension 29er, and my cross bike both have Stan's rims now and they kick ass

What options did you get?
Have you had it on the trail yet? - I'm reading that it eats technical trails like candy. :-)

Well My brother works for them, so it wasn't that hard to get. They redesigned some things that will make it better, the newer models should be out pretty soon.
I really like it, goes uphill and downhill without a problem.
My bike is a custom build: medium long frame
fox 36
mostly all xt components, 1x10 drive train 30 tooth narrow wide front sprocket
fox doss seat post
Easton haven wheel with maxis 2.5" evo tubeless tires

Didn't know there were many bikers on here. 1x10 and still climbs well. It decends like a possessed demon though. The whole suspension is so plush it's like landing with pillows but I have to remind myself that trees hurt and I don't bounce like I used to.

I picked it up used for 800. Now I'm hooked on canfield. Amazing ride.

Keep trying but I haven't made it up to big bear this year
