2nd vehicle, what do you buy?
my 4runner is closing on 200k and im starting to think about what else to get... i just landed a decent job, pay should be anywhere from 40-60 a year. now that being said im giving myself a 15-20k(maybe that high) budget. I want something better on gas mileage, if i could get close to 30mpg highway i would be happy. i also want something fun, i can drive my 4runner in the winter so a sports car is where im leaning. the front runner is a nice c5 vette. 6 speed frc. i also kicked around the idea of possibly trying to find an nsx for close to 20 if at all possible. i dont want something everyone has, or something boyracer/gayish like an evo/sti/srt4/etc. ideas?

Try a 6 speed e46 M3. I saw one at the local BMW dealer for right at 20 with 43k on it. Also consider a Honda S2000 or Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT or 3.0R

You also don't want to buy a 2nd car that will be a maintenance nightmare...otherwise, your goal of getting something more economical has failed.

We just picked up a super cherry '06 330i in alpine white, rare navi option, premium and cold weather package for $19k. 275hp, rear wheel drive, super fun!

Everyone has them from 16 year old cheerleaders to grocery getting grandpa's but what do you think of a V8 mustang and make it your own.

Dodge Neon.
Wait. Just kidding. That's my second car, but doesn't mean you want one. lol. I would go for a nice 350z or even a 370z if you can swing the payment. A C5 wouldn't be bad, but the gas mileage is going to be bad unless you drive like a grandma. You can get a really nice 2009 MKV GTI for $18k these days, and I LOVED my MKV. I'd buy another in a heartbeat.
My $20k car list would be:
MKV GTI
350z
R32
Evo IX
STI
M3
C5
