Hey guys, I figured I would post this here. I stumbled upon this chernobyl story thread today at lunch and couldnt quit reading it. I thought you guys might enjoy it here. Hopefully its not a re-post or something.
"We're the middle children of history man. No purpose or place. We have no great war, no great depression. Our great wars a spiritual war....our great depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, movie gods or rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact....."
There is something very intersting about Chernobyl.. I stumbled upon it a few days ago in school and could not stop reading about it! Thanks for posting!

Yep, I'm the same way. I've been intrigued by it since I was a little kid. That's why I posted this.

i find it really interesting too and have actually studied about the whole thing. i work with radiation everyday the same type as in chernobyl and i would love to go there. im a nuclear shipbuilder so i find that stuff to be very interesting
I'd love to go there as well, it's incredibly interesting.
This is an absolute must read about some lady on a motorcycle who goes through there often. This is the first thing I ever read about it on one of the motorcycle forums:
those photos had a very alien feel. Didnt feel like earth at all! Intriguing.
I think that's part of the allure for me. They don't look like anything else you've ever seen anywhere. Plus if you know some of the Chernobyl stories that go along with then it's even more intriguing

What amazes me about the whole thing is the fact that the ENTIRE reason it was done was to see if they could get more power out of it; and to do so, they disabled almost ALL of the safety features.
I could go on as to why this was stupider'n hell...but I think we know why now. lol
