Goat Mountain!
Had to get your attention.... I'd like to go to Goat Mountain, preferably by someone who's been up there! Monday's and Tuesday's are the best days for me to be free (i know weekday's aren't easiest) but i only have Sunday's off every other week or so....
I've got my recovery gear squared away, 265/75R16 Duratrac's with a 3" inch lift, open diff's. Please feel free to suggest anything that you could work with, i'll see if it's in my cards to work out.
See you soon i hope!

I'd be down to go. I know the area well. I work monday-friday so weekdays aren't the best for me. If you want to go up there on a sunday let me know. I should have my rig put back together by saturday at the latest.
This was my last trip up there about 2 weeks ago. My buddy's taco is lifted 2.5" on 33s.

I think the 16th will work for me.
I have lots of radio equipment. haha The one on my drover side hood is my CB, which gets the least amount of use. The skinny one on my passenger side hood is my VHF that does Ham/commercial/government. The one on my roof with the coil on it does Ham/commercial/goverment on both VHF and UHF. My next one will be a cell booster though.

Yeah I use it all for search and rescue stuff. You know the area very well? We could meet on Hillockburn rd. Or if it is easier for you, the estacada ranger station.

I'm hoping I can get my runner done before the trip. I just found out I need to get a driveline built for it.

uh oh... getting parts custom made is rarely a good time. I've never been up on goat mountain, i do know where the Esticada ranger station is, only been there in the summer.

Since there appears to be little interest from others, if you can't make it this upcoming weekend, we can push off the trip by a couple weeks if that'll give you more time for fitting & test too.

Whatever works best for you man. Luckily I think I am going to get away without getting a driveline made. I'm just going to redo my front hangers. I'd rather redo my work than pay a lot of money for another driveline right now. I'm going to wait for a custom long slip driveline until after I install duals.

Sunday is good for me, if it works for you. I know i can find the ranger station, so let me know what time to meet you there.
Went on a very short "trail", after sighting in the rifle today! departure angle is no bueno....
i tried to climb onto a rock, but it was too slippery... kept on pushing it out of the way and toward my STOCK skid plate.... so just those two for now!

You should have seen my stock skid plate when I had it. I did the same thing and bashed it on a rock. Suprising how tough they are for stock. haha Departure angle sucks on any 4runner, that is why I am pushing my rear axle back a bit to try to offset it. I'm not into bobbing a 4runner, that is too much work to make it look right.
I hate to do this but I won't know if I can go until saturday, that is when we are working on my runner.

Saturday morning I am fixing my hangers so hopefully that will only take a couple hours. If that is done, I will try to get my leaky axle seal done as well. Although that doesn't have to be done to go wheeling. It has just made my wheel all nasty. haha

You think a stock 5th gen trail running wrangler ATs could hang on this run?
