Hey I have been good. How are you? I havent even gotten the damn thing started yet lol. I have been putting all my time into my volvo. That was supposed to be "the easy one to fix". I got it running good but my EGT's were through the roof. Enough that the manifold and turbo got cherry red when i tried to drive it to work. Also have a noise that might be detonation but i dont know what that sounds like. Either the turbo i put in is garbage or the main fuel pump is on the way out. I want to start pulling my engine this weekend but im storing some if a friend crap in my little tarp garage. How much do you know about turbo cars?

Ive been busy with school and running my son around. 4Runner is coming along nicely though added quite a bit of stuff since the last time you saw it. Either getting rear lockers or rear bumper next.
Not much at all only had one turbo car and never really messed with its turbo. I would check your timing also. Did you just put a oem turbo in or went bigger?

Im almost 100% sure i have the timing down perfect. I wentt with an oem turbo that might have been slightly bigger. Biggest difference is that this one is water cooled and my other one wasn't. The turbo i put int was quite used but the compressor housing wasnt loose like my other one was. so for $50 i got another manifold and turbo so i jumped on it.

Hi all!

Just moved back up here from NorCal. Looks like the Uhaul trailer finished off what was left of my clutch...: dammit:

New MS/SS was put in before I left but I am pretty sure that whatever wasn't quite broke before...is now toast (clutch play is nil and adjusting the play distance didn't help - just made the throwout bearing sing like a canary ::UGH:: ...possible that the pivot bolt for the fork was more worn than it looked, too.

ANNNYYWAY...can anyone here recommend a shop/mechanic that they've used and trust implicitly with their rig, please?! Time to make new connections!!! Thanks all!

Hello from Shelton! Tahuya is a badass place to go... Sweet memories of blowing my 2.7l in Mud Lake.... But pretty much anywhere in the Olympics is at least an awesome drive.

Anyone down for a day trip? I have a 1 Year Old but I will drag him around out in the woods for some fun.

That would work better for me too. I've got a conference to teach at in Salt Lake City during the beginning of the month.
