Sorry guys, I dropped the ball on keeping tabs on the thread. I'm gonna move the date to 10/23/16, the storm seems like it's gonna muck things up and such. Also hopefully my 4Runner should be up and running... I just need to pick UCAs and finish installing everything next Saturday (threw the rack in today to make things easier for me).
If you guys want to meet up at Fred Meyers in Redmond with
@ BackOff
that's perfectly fine, but I won't be making it out this Sunday.
I'll get a bit better date/time information going either later tonight or tomorrow for next Sunday.

Brian, Backoff and Blackworks....
I have just been roped into chaperoning @ the Bend High Homecoming dance.
Ugh. If you want to help, they need more male chaperones!
Redmond Fred Meyer tomorrow @ 10?

Well shearn and I made a quick fun run to Cline Butte.
New runners are so nice. Guess the wife didn't get to put the first scratch in it.
Very tame area with a couple rocky zones, lots of whoopdedoos from the dirt bike action... mostly confusing loops.
I was using a neat phone app that tracks your progress...was still confusing.
check it out.
goto
rideATVoregon where to ride
then click on then 'view' the area you want to check out.
Cline Butte for example.
where to ride oregon
Right side, under GPS locations...click 'trail map website'...opens a PDF page (adobe reader) scroll down about 3/4 to Trail Maps.
QR code reader and Avenza get you a tracking function of the OHV area you are in.

Thanks to Backoff for letting me follow him around the area. There's clearly more area to explore out there.
And for the record, i did put the first scratch in the paint. Stupid Juniper Trees!
Having come from solid axle/leaf spring/manual trans 4x4's - the 4Runner was amazing. It navigated some rocky areas with ease.

Did you get The Black Beast moving?
That storm mostly missed Redmond it seemed, the main road still had a little dust, no mud or puddles.
Looks like it was snowing hard up Century Drive, if any want to get up in the hills better do it now...maybe too late.

Not yet, threw the steering rack in this past Saturday. Have gussets coming (decided to get another spindle, was only $300 my cost) calling today for UCAs, still not sure which ones to go with. Hopefully everything will be good to go by this Saturday night.

Seems like I was reading, here on T4R.org, some foggy memory, something about the gussets interfering with the stock style (and our SPC UCA) upper balljoint nut(to spindle). You cant get at it? Where-as a TC heim style are different and work better? Maybe I dreamed that up? Cant expect a guy to keep up with all the mods everybody does.
I made a little cardboard cut-out thingy bobber to check your UCA if you want.

As BackOff says...it was pretty mild out there.
I wouldn't mind more exploring in that area, but east of town would be fun, too.
Or, if we get a little melt, heading up 370 Todd Lake --> Sisters might be fun right now.
Irish/Taylor are probably too high/snowy.

I appreciate it, I just put an order in for the Camburg Kinetiks, a bit annoyed I can't adjust Camber with them installed, but I'll live.

I'm down for whatever assuming my 4Runner will be done Saturday night (fingers crossed).
So quick Roll Call to see who's interested for this Sunday 10/23/17
@ ZPT_Yoda
@ BackOff
@ shearn
@ GhostRing
@ BobsTrail
@ Brian3676
Let me know if you guys are able to make it, also do you guys want to do Cline Butte still or we can try something else. It doesn't matter to me, I just want to figure it out so I can set-up a meeting spot and time.

I more than likely won't be going. I'm on call this weekend (work at St. Charles). Wish I could though.

Just say the word, I have been a bit stirKrazy lately... hurt all summer and the season change has me itching for some adventure.
Cline was like a drive down a dirt road after Edison, but I am game for almost anything.

Working on it. I may be in Corvallis again. If not, I'm in!

Undecided, I'm in Salem, it's a long drive to Bend and back.
Looking for easy to mild trails without pin stripes and rock gardens. Not ready to look like a real off-roader.
