pelfreybilt - do you have a plan do do it? I understand this is a business decision and I think you can gage the interest by running a presale group buy on the forum.
Are you looking for integrated recovery points on the winch mount?

It's currently not in the plans, mostly because the factory recovery points are very close by and also very strong.

I'll forward this message to the team to get their thoughts on this.

Yes, on the winch mount but further apart from the winch, in line with mounting points on the car's frame, something like this:

After talking with the team, we don't have plans on changing the mount. We wanted to keep it as factory looking as possible. Adding those additional recovery points would remove the hidden look.

After looking over my Hidden Winch Mount my questions are:

What are the eight 5/8" bolts for? I assume the four 1 1/4" bolts are for bolting the top sliding plate to the base plate but don't see where the 8 stubby bolts go.

What are the hex spacers for?

What are these slots for? See pic below.

BTW I left a voicemail with your shop last week but never got a call back.

Thanks. Brian

Ok, I didn't think of that because I've had my bumper off before and if I recall correctly the OEM bolts were much longer. I see you have provided grade 8 bolts which I assume are stronger than the OEM. I guess I'll see when I pull the front off again. Thanks.

Got a call from Michael at Pelfrey today who told me the 5/8" bolts are for other trims to retain the factory splash guards or front plate?! The OEM bolts are to be reused to bolt the mount to the frame rails. I appreciate you guys getting back to me.

My apologies about the big miscommunication and incorrect info. We were just talking about this to ensure it doesn't happen again.

You just had me scratching my head there for a bit. Maybe add a page to the instructions showing a pic of each piece of hardware and purpose. I should be putting it on soon. Hopefully smooth sailing from here.

We've received a few questions on how to mount a License Plate with the Hidden Winch Mount.

The Flipster V2 is the solution!
Flipster "V2" Hawse & Roller Fairlead | Pelfreybilt

The Cascadia 4×4 “Flipster” is the best answer to a problem many of us face after installing a winch on our vehicles: where does one mount their license plate in a visible and legal location without detracting from the aesthetics of their Jeep, Truck, or SUV? The “Flipster” solves this issue while retaining full functionality of your winch. Simply flip up your license plate and The “Flipster” holds it in any position.
