Have a CC permit but don’t in the 4R. I always have a knife on me though.

FYI a Gcode Incog for a Walther P99 fits that slot in the 5th gen center console like a glove! Can even still use the cup holder!

So does a PPQ and the PPS fits in the glove box with the aftermarket divider.

I use the Infidel Ultra Max from CompTac so I can take it on and off easy without unholstering and keeping the boom switch covered at all times.

I put a console safe in my 4Runner with the beefed up door and I keep a g42 in there period. Vehicle is locked up in garage at night, safe is always locked unless I am in the vehicle, no reason to transfer it daily.
