Best Exhaust System?
What Exhaust system do you think is the best? Think of looks, performance, costs, quality and difficulty of install as factors in your voting.
I'm thinking of getting an exhaust system and your opinions matter so show me what you think.

Any chance we can get pictures of all the different exhaust systems?

Anyone with the TRD exhaust notice an annoying drone around 45-50mph. I hated it so I removed the TRD muffler and put the stock in with some custom work to make it fit. Still rumbles but no drone.

This is kind of a biased poll. The owners will vote for their own set-up. I have a Borla, how would I know what a Magnaflow is like?
It's not like I can test drive a cat back for comparison.

I have a TRD exhaust on my 03 V8 and it drones pretty bad at around 2k rpm. I was thinking of doing the same thing as you, but I don't like the idea of cutting up a nice exhaust system. If I get tired of it, I think I may do it though. So there's no drone at all after you put the stock muffler on?

It started giving me a headache. I had them pull off the trd muffler and put the stock one back on. They had to weld on a 6 inch piece of pipe to fit it to the trd pipes. Didn't ruin the expensive trd at all. I think it sounds good with my intake. Rumbles when I give it gas but can't hear it when just driving around. I'm much happier with it.

I went with a full custom Flowmaster Super 40 series exhaust system. It's unbelievibly loud. In a 4 floor parkade, i set off 15 alarms!! Muscle cars ask what i have under the hood.

Is any exhaust better for off road purposes? Side exit exhaust and tucked up underneath better than the others??
Anyone still watching this thread??

A good exhaust system should free up some horsepower and torque so it would be beneficial for any type of driving. I would imagine the exhausts the exit right behind the tire would give better clearance than the kind that exits right behind the bumper. When you are going up a hill, the bumper may drag and if your exhaust exits there, it will drag too.

what makes Magnaflow better ..... price, ease of install, looks....... just wondering how it received more votes and what those votes were actually based on.
