Oh no! Which one to choose to go to work......? The Lexus has too much steering wheel vibration... Hmmm.
Maybe if I turn off the Corolla's VSC and run Premium gas I'll choose that one.... :bonk:
When I get to work we'll all make Texas burgers and watch the Ring and Urban Ninja Videos :eek2:

Who know's , some people with V8's might trade them in for another V8 if multi mode was available.

Both are great engine's and have plenty of power IMO.

So is the whole point of this thread the V6 vs the V8 debate -or- multi mode 4wd -vs- Full time 4wd.

I just like the 'classic' (more or less) 4Runner format. V6 with switchable 4WD (though we get a Torsen diff

This is funny!

We are never going to agree what is best or not. V6, V8 , multimode, 4x2, 4x4, AWD

I loved the 4.7L V8 in my Tundras but opted for the V6 in the 4Runner. Although I miss the smoothness and the exhaust burble of the V8, I don't miss the 14-17mpg. So far I am averaging between 19 and 21mpg in mixed driving with my V6 4Runner. As far as the V8 4Runner having full time 4wd vs. the V6's multi-mode, that was a point I seriously considered when I chose the V6. So far no regrets.

I do love my V8 and have no regret's , the Full time 4wd work's awsome and is alway's there when you need it , BUT I still would have preferred the multi-mode 4wd system in the v8.

From having on 04 Z71 chevy Tahoe and gettting 12-13 mpg with mixed driving and it being a problem truck and costing me lot's of extra ching . I was more concerned about the reliability of the Toyota than I was the V6 or v8. I'm already getting 17 mpg mixed driving with only 1k mile's on if it stay's there an I can get 18-19 on the hiway I will be happy as a pig in chit !! I think this milage is very acceptable for a 4x4 mid size v8 w/full time 4wd.

My mom drive's a Chevy Trailblazer 4x4 with a 6 cyl. and alway's get 12-13 mpg no matter what.

I'm happy !!!!!

Finally....an intelligent and informative response.
