I'm in Texas and 2X4 was never a consideration.

I commute 35 miles to work everyday so the 4x4 and V8 were out of the question. I'll never need the 4x4 here in SD and anything I need to tow can be accomplished with the v6 anyways.

Up here in Nor Cal 80% of the runners up here are also 4WD probably because we are so close to Lake Tahoe and there are alot of Off Roading trails and such. But before I came to nor Cal from NC, not many people had 4WD out there

U must have the fro by fro!

Gotta have the 4X4 V6 even here in southern California because these peeps do NOT know how to drive in the rain.

V6 SE 4WD. I would never live without 4WD. Florida is a big sand pile, just waiting to get stuck in. I have been stuck a couple of times in 2WD and never in a 4WD. Since my first 4WD F-350, I will never go back to 2WD no matter what I drive.

Cool

V6 4WD for me. I am mostly onroad so it is nice to have the option to switch from 2WD to 4WD specially here in FL where you have sunny skies and 10 minutes later is pouring down rain with 20 feet visibility :bugeye:

Fulltime 4WD V-8 here. After having a 4-cyl I wanted as much horsepower as possible. I only wish it had the mutli-mode switch so I could be in 2WD around town when the weather is dry.

-99 4runner 2.7L 2wd

-this is my daily driver so i use it to commute mainly mostly city miles so its great, on the freeway sometimes i feel the lack of passing power. Even tho i mainly use it for the city, driving in south florida you need a suv with all these bumpy roads and crazy weather conditions.

-For many of you that havent driven this particular model, it is extremely light compared to the newer models so having a 4cylinder in the new gens would never make sense to u guys, in this model i step on the gas and its so responsive still ( 123,000 miles)

- im new to the forums i mainly joined b/c i was looking to upgrade to a used newer more powerful model ( v8 Preferebly ).

Interesting stats so far....
Just read the first page, so I don't know if this was mentioned...

I think this poll is going to be skewed toward V8 4x4s because it's being done on a forum rather than in a blind sampling. Most of the people coming here are going to "fans" of the vehicle, and will want one that fulfills it's capabilities; the soccer moms aren't going to be as well represented.

I had to do some searching to find what I wanted here in SoCal; there were plenty of SR5 V8 4x4s, but having the moonroof was a deal-killer (too short for me). I was in touch with 4 or 5 dealers before I found what I was looking for.
