dingo

Can you suggest where I can purchase the Valor Exhaust tip? I already have the spoiler and I think it looks great. Does the exhaust tip a bolt-on or I need any drilling to attach it? I prefer not doing any drilling, welding or cutting.

Thanks

You can get the exhaust tip from any dealership or even online.

No drilling is needed. All you need is the correct screwdriver or socket (I can't remember which).

I don't like the spoiler.

It doesn't integrate well with the body design and looks like it was stuck on with double sided tape.

Can you say J.C. Whitney ?

I actually think it looks way better without the Spoiler. I used to like how the spoiler looked, but now, everytime I look at it, it seems too exagerated or "Corny". It almost takes the class away from the 4Runner. This is just my opinion.

Payce!

The best way I can explain a 4th gen without a spoiler is, NAKED. It looks so plain without it. The spoiler sets 4runners apart from crap like explorers. The 4th gen spoiler is just bigger because that was part of their "modernization" from the 3rd gen.

I don't like the Spoiler and think that the 4th gen looks sleeker without one.

Also, it's added weight to be driving around with. I get bad enough gas mileage as it is. If I can somehow add .5 mile/gallon, I'll be happy!

Anyone here know the weight of that beast hanging off the back window?

I'm not sure if I would call it a beast. Anyone can install one themselves with only a few drill holes, so it's not like it's heavy. Certainly not enough to affect gas mileage.

If you want to look at it that way, why not say that since it sticks up an inch higher than the roof that it might cause wind resistance and lower mileage?

It's all just a preference if you like the look, or don't.

My 2003 didn't have it, neither does my 2008 SE so I added it. I personally like it.

I just like it because it is functional - I run mine on the autobahn at over 100mph (V6 BTW) all the time. Here in Germany it keeps the window clean and the vehicle planted.

Unlike the vroom hood scoop....
