Does the 4th Gen look better with a Spoiler?
just a poll question: do you like the spoiler on the 4th gen or no? Why?

Yes, I think it does.
I just saw a 2007 Galactic Gray Mica SR5 with the spoiler, and it was stunning.
I plan to get an SE V8 in the same color with the spoiler.

while this is totally personal preference...I think it does as well. There is going to be a larger majority that follows that same line of thinking.

Personally, I like the spoiler. I guess you just get used to it. I can't picture it without one. That and the Valor exhaust tip. When I see another 4th gen 4runner without these two, it just looks anemic to me. Makes the back end look nice and beefy.
I saw an '06 drive by work last week without a spoiler, exhaust tip, and roof racks as well (didn't even know they came like that). It looked so bare and naked.

No, I don't like the spoiler. I think it makes it look fat (not phat). I specifically picked one without it.
(I also like white lettering out, but that's a whole 'nother can of worms)

Looks naked without one. The spoiler completes the rear end. Notice no other manufacture can make their SUVs look good with a spoiler. Toyota's got the design down.

I think it looks better with a spoiler. It has a more sporty look!

The truck needs a spoiler. I don't know if the current spoiler is the best choice, but it's better than nothing.

I don't care for the 4th generation spoiler, and special-ordered my truck just to get one w/o the spoiler or drl's. The 3rd gen. spoiler was much nicer looking IMHO, but I am sure the current model is more functional. I just don't need my back window to be THAT clean. Thank goodness we have a choice.

Yes!
After having my 4R for nearly 2 years, I ordered a rear spoiler from SpoilerFactory and installed it to my 4R about a month ago. It now looks really cool.
Not just for looks, but I hope it will help reduce the amount of road dust that gets on the tailgate when driving through dirt roads.

well at first, i thought i would want a spoiler, but i ended up getting one without due to the fact that i wanted side curtain airbags and didn't want to wait for an ordered one. After living with it, I think I prefer it WITHOUT one.. I guess its up to the owner, but its looks.... sportier? lighter? sleeker? I uno.

The spoiler makes the back end look bulky to me. I prefer no spoiler.

I think I prefer spoiler. This is the first time that I actual have a spoiler that is "practical". This spoiler seems to keep a lot of the dust and morning mist away from my rear window. Must be the big bulky design. My RX300 had that spoiler that sticks out (like the 4R I have but not as fat) and it didn't make a whole lot of difference in practicality BUT IN looks, definitely changed the way the RX300 looked. It actually changed it's "bubble on wheels" status to a somewhat SUV look.
