I carry G19 concealed for work and Sig365 off duty. If you carry 24/7, I would highly suggest carrying a single stack 9mm. What good is a full size gun if you leave it at home?

Gun idiot.

I don’t consider myself knowledgeable about guns. I have an old 22 rifle bolt action.

I did go to a gun store in Florida and shot occasionally. I would buy a box of amp and go through them. Each time a different gun.

Here’s whats crazy. A complete novice like myself wanted to like the glocks. Everybody seems to like them. For just picking up a cold pistol and using it in a legit exchange of bullets I would rather pick up a stupid, old, .38 snub nose. It was so easy to squeeze the trigger and come right back to first position. Almost all of the rest has their own quirks. A person would shoot enough in practice to get to know it.

I didn’t spend a lot of time with each one. Only a box of ammo. One gun would come up high to the left. Another would recoil opposite of that.

The stupid old school .38 took about 6 shots to feel a slight straight backwards push an a little it would rise an inch or so.

Not glamorous. Not as most. But, to just hand someone s pistol with little time to explain. Stupid old .38.

A P365, of one flavor or another. I started with a standard, which I still have, but lately I've switched to carrying one of my two P365XL's. Prior to that I carried a P320 Compact, before that an M11A1, and before that a P226. At work I get nothing but Glocks. Started with a 22 for the first 14 years, and a 17 for the last 6.

New response/selections for my CCW/personal protection...

Plan A
Springfield XD-9...wonderfully balanced 9mm semi

Plan number B
Walther P22 Q...small, compact, light weight...i know 22lr isnt ideal, but its better than a pointy stick

when on a deeper hike...my AR-pistol in a backpack. Is all the friend ill ever need.

i second that emotion. i enherited a 38 special Chief's addition from my late uncle...1st shots, WTH is this old thing...but the more i shot it, the more i saw the value.

with a 2in barrel, its the perfect pocket pistol.

I wanted to trade something for my Brother's Chief Special. He passed this year, not sure what his son did with the gun collection.

and just that quickly, ive found a better option...

a Walther PPQ, with the 3.4 inch barrel...small, light, sleek, carrys 10+1, and is as smooth as a strippers calves...

the more i shoot it, the more i love it.

even my wife shot it and loves it more than her own chosen Springfield XD-9
