33k out door for 04' SE V8 4x4 black w/SR, CF, & GN
Went a did a little bargaining today. So far the lowest i can get somebody to go is 33k out the door for a black 04 SE V8 4x4 with sun roof, carpets, and cargo net.
do you guys think this is a good deal or not? All the other dealers in my area weren't so receptive to dealing. I live in the Bay Area also, so tax is 8.25% along with dmv licensing which is like 2%.
Also, one of the dealers i was talking to told me to register my car to someone's name who lived in a different county, thus bringing my tax costs down by like 500 dollars. And then he said i could just transfer registration back to my name @ AAA or something. Does this sound fishy or legit?
thanks again guys

by "out the door", do you mean taxes included? i got my 03 v6 limited for 37K out the door (taxes and title included). which meant the price was realyl around 34K. if it's 33K including taxes and title...i'd say it's a good deal.

hey jason,
i got mine in concord for 32,000 out the door and thats with the added service and the %8.25 tax rate. there is a lot more room you can go. since it is the end of the model year you should get like $30000 out the door

He wasnt there. Anyway, i didnt take the offer simply b/c when i went back to DUBLIN TOYOTA to talk with JD, he wouldnt honor it anymore AND he said were lying... i'm so over talking to dealers. I"m just gonna start my own dealership or make my own toyota 4runner.
or....i'll just buy an 05' when they come out and supply with be plentiful =)

dang!!! i forgot to tell you never talk to dublin toyota, they are all liars and never trust a word they say... if you wanna just hold out, then thats your choice. all i can say is just have confidence in yourself and never deal with salesman - they just cost you more in the end... what i would do is call concord and find out when jason will be in and make a apt. or if you want try rick perez at capital toyota in san jose - he was gonna give me invoice on anything i wanted...
there are good guys out there, you dont have to make this a bad experience
by the way did u try talking to the fleet manager at concord? he is really cool his name is joe romero - fun to wheel and deal with

I walked out the door at $36,200 for my 03 limited 4x4 V8 with everything except nav and auto leveling suspension. That includes taxes, destination charges, license fees, etc.
You should be able to get a better deal.

That price is a couple thousand too high. I'm not sure about the year-end incentives but if they're around, then you should be able to grab that rig for less than $31k OTD (including CA tax and registration).

yah i'm over these dealers up here in Nor. cal. New game plan is go to Arizona when 05's come out so i can get a SE v8 w/ side bags and not have to special order one with that option.
i'll just have to be content with finding a place in LA near the metro so i can make it to work downtown. (i start a new job monday)
