I think my favorite line in this entire thread is:
"Dump her. I'm an F-18 pilot."........as if this is enough of a qualifier to believe in the wisdom that follows.
No offense meant to anyone here, ...but I don't think "Dump her. I'm a plumber...and I've plugged more holes than......" lends itself to contain more infinite wisdom than the above post.
Best part about "fighter-pilots" (I have 2 cousins who are) is watching them crash and burn when they try to use that with the "opposition."

Aww, how cute. You expected me to pretend to be humble and kind in accordance with the social norms you think matter. Sorry. The truth is that I'm a man of considerable egotism, for good reason, but that's somewhat beside the point. My point was that from this perspective, I now realize that I should have quit trying sooner in just about every relationship I ever had, prior to my wife. If you would prefer that I pretend to be humble, or lie about the reality of my life just to make people comfortable, you've got the wrong guy. It would be rude and manipulative to feign humility where none exists. There are much bigger things to be humbled by.

from the day i met my husband, i broke off all semi relationships and "close" friendships with all male contacts whom i didnt have long standing friendships with already.
i'm with him all the way, 100%.
i can see there being circumstances....drunk etc. . . .cuz i wouldnt let anyone drive drunk...but she could have slept on another couch, in another room, etc. . .
sorry dude. it sucks.
and yes......i understand the pilot guy...........i'm a crewchief on helos. yall are an interesting bunch of folks.
