The onus lies with the voter, not the party. Imo, the best way to stay informed is to stop watching the news and read it instead.

If so many people claim to be conservative, why then do the radical liberals have control?
Be sure to get out and vote against the liberals. They want power and have found it by getting the zero liability voter to vote for them. Is it any surprise the Feds won't protect our borders from illegals? Today's illegal alien is tomorrows zero liability voter and recipient of our tax dollars.
Remember when America was about opportunity and not handouts?

It's refreshing to see how many level-headed people there are on this forum.
I can't even begin to get into why this country is a disaster on many levels.... on it's way to being a worse disaster... but it goes way beyond current politics, politicians and party lines.
Natural Law, the Constitution, our Founding Fathers, world banking, European government, global media, communism, capitalism, secret societies...the list goes on.....but those are just a few of things that have to be thoroughly researched and understood before any of our current situation can be made sense of.
Here's a couple quotes that I agree with strongly:
Quote:
"You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it." -Adrian Rogers
|
Quote:
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear." -Marcus Tullius Cicero 44 BC
|
Quote:
"There is no greater tyranny, than that which is perpetrated under the shield of law and in the name of justice.” -Montesquieu
|
PS. BTW....I own lots of guns.

The exact same thing could be said about Democrats. Just depends on your point of view. Actually, by stating that.....you solidified the fact that you are ignorant and fearful yourself. Anytime you say, "the other side is all wrong, and they don't know the facts".....you are basically saying, "I have no clue what is going on".
I'm Libertarian myself. No elephants or ass's for me. My 4runner gets me around just fine.

A Libertarian is generally not considered liberal or conservative unless discussing specifics. Conservative in economic issues or liberal in social issues would more accurately describe a libertarian. Although I agree that the government should be smaller.

I personally cannot support a president or an administration that willingly disrespects the thousands of families that lost their loved ones in 9/11 by supporting the building of a Islamic mosque at ground zero. Well why not just make a Nazi memorial at Auschwitz? Or a Japanese Imperial Navy memorial at Pearl Harbor? Oh, I'm sorry, was that not politically correct? It's the same kind of disrespect as far as I'm concerned and disgracing our citizens like that is unforgivable. Try putting a cross on a hillside in CA. That's offensive, but a f**king mosque at gound zero isn't?
If Obama's administration is "transparent", then I'm Oprah Winfrey.

A representative republic, actually, and yes I do. Hence the part where I called it a "representative republic" in the text block you quoted. I guess I know exactly what part of my input caused you to stop reading.

I agree that there are "also" democrats who blindly vote along party lines, but it isn't what holds up the party. In the republican party, blind party lines voting is exactly what holds up the party.

Interesting. Of what exactly is it that you suspect I'm ignorant and afraid? I don't think I said the other side was all wrong. I said they didn't know the facts, and I'll say now that they dont' think critically, as in the case of the "Mosque at ground zero" comment that was applauded in this thread. Even a middle school level of analysis would render that stance untenable.
As for the "basically saying I have no clue what's going on" comment, I'd happily debate any subject with you if you intend to take a conservative stance. No references, just you and me. I promise. ;^)
