Grew up skiing in BC. Switched to snowboarding in 7th grade. Won Gold in Provincials for my category in high school. Switched back to skiing back in 2008. No regrets!

been skiing my whole life, never even been on a board. I like to give my buddies who board shit all the time that they cost me at least five runs a day because I have to sit around and wait for them to clip in!
The only thing that really gets me going is when boarders, or skiers for that matter are in over their heads and they are going sideways down the hill, say out of the side country and off the high end terrian if you cant handle it and stop scraping snow off the dame hill!@!

but really, its just like i dont care what you drive for a truck, I dont care what you ride for a motorcycle, I dont care how you get down the mountain do what you love

and any day on the mountain, no matter how crap the snow is, no matter how annoying the skiiers or boarders are, is still better then a day not on the mountain

cheers

Definitely skiing. There is nothing natural about having your feet tied together.

Neither

Grew up skiing, but pretty much quit after I figured out that with a dirt bike, you can do those downhill runs and jumps over and over, not to mention a good hill climb, without having to wait in a lift line or pay $100 for a lift ticket.

But I do still love skiing.

I snowboard but nothing beats the rush of downhill mountain biking for me. Just lucky to live in a good area for outdoor sports in the PNW!

I was skiing b4 there were snowboards. Lived in Mammoth for 11 years, built a house in the Trails. Raised 2 kids there also, 1 of each. Daughter is a skier, son a boarder, so I did both, but I prefer skiing.

Ski

For some reason... I just can not handle turning sideways and going forward down the hill... It just does not work for me...

I do both. I love skiing, the speed and form of it feels so good. Unfortunately, years ago I had a pretty severe fracture on a leg. I cant find a pair of ski boots that works without causing some moderate pain after a few hard runs. So I switch to snowboarding after I have had enough. The snowboard boot and pressure points dont bother me as much so I find that I snowboard 75% of the time and ski the rest.

I prefer snowboarding and splitboarding. But there are times in the backcountry where skis are much more practical. For example: When we come across flat terrain during a decent and the rest of the group is on skis, I have to convert (split) the board which takes a bit of time. Typically I bring whisky to give them something to do while they wait for my slow conversion!

I skied when I was a kid, Mt. Baldy, then switched over to snowboarding. Blew out my knee downhill mountain racing. Tried snowboarding again but the impacts hurt my knee to much. Went back to skiing and is a bit better. Either way I have fun. Been in 40*+ temps down to -34* squeaky snow.

I started out skiing then went on to snowboarding for about a decade and now back to skiing with a few snowboarding exceptions. I love to cross country ski through the backcountry and snow shoeing also.
