Ski vs. Snowboard vs. Both
Don't wanna start a huge mountain battle but just seeing who else also enjoys the winter sports like myself and what sport they enjoy the most.

Snowboard. Something about it seems more challenging to me, but skiing can be pretty intense too. It's all personal preference and as long as someone loves the snow i think they are awesome.

I like speed, so I ski. Snowboarding is just too slow for me.

I Snowboard, but answered both because I occasionally bust out my set of ski when i'm bored on the little hills. All snow sports are in my opinion

I've been snowboarding for the past 12 years and will never turn back. You can definitely get going on a snowboard as well. Not as fast as skis, but with a 163 you can really move.

Skied a couple times, but went with snowboarding because all my friends were doing it and been doing it for about 8-9 years now.

only snowboard. Been doin it for over 1/2 my life. Actually i just got home from riding. I love Living so close to the mountain. I put in over 100 days a year. Compete, was sponsored by some lame companies, now I just ride for fun.
Respect to the skiiers tho. Just seems too awkward. If i was to ski I would ride the ski blades and pull some sweet daffys!

rondonee
deep pow in the backcountry most snow boarders and skiers will never see,
you gotta work for that though, i used to have a bumper sticker that said "earn your turns" amazing stuff out there if you got the legs to get you out to it, i got really bored of riding the resorts after years of teaching lessons and growing up riding the same 3 mountains my whole life went to rondonee and never looked back, now i get to shred "big" mountains that maybe only 50 people a year get to ride, i'm telling you guys get a split board at least and give it a shot, expensive to get started but ar far better in the long run, heck you even save money on lift passes!

SNOWBOARD! Skiing looks cool but not that cross country non sense, at least in my opinion. The learning curve for snowboarding seems a lot higher too. I have a snowboard buddy that spun a 3 off of the 60ft first day on rental skis. And pro boarder Terje Haakenson back flipped his first day. Not saying it's easy but it sure as hell looks it.

SKI!!! I ride with boarders and skiers, it's all a good time once you wait for all the boarders to get into their bindings. Nothing really against boarders, it's all a fun rivalry for me, except that they push all the powder off the slopes (Here in PA it's a lot of ice and minimal snow on top), but I'll never switch, been skiing since I was 3 years old.

Snowboard
I have been snowboarding for 16 years and love every minute of it, have broken bones, boards, and egos. made many friends and lost a couple too. I have 3 boards all different set ups for any occasion. I frequently visit Snowmass and Telluride every season.
