Just curious when/how you arrived at this website. Was it before you bought your 4Runner and were trying to educate yourself as much as possible? Was it about the time you purchased your Runner? Was it some time afterwards & found it just by luck while surfing? Or was it some time later because you were researching a problem you were having, and posted to find a solution?
I found this site around the time I bought mine. Joined right after purchase. Been a huge help!

Used to go on the Benzworld forums all the time when I had my W126 (1979-1991 S-Class). Never really cared for the W203 section (2000-2007 C-Class). When I bought my 4Runner, I searched for a 4Runner forum... voila.
Gave me something new to talk about.
EDIT: Also used to go on the supra forums when I had a MKIII Supra, first car I ever drove. Went to the benz forum after that, then to here.
I found it refrenced on another forum that i belong to..then started looking at how friendly everyone is on here and how much every one helped one another. This made it an easy choice to become a member.

Found it when I was putting new shocks on my ex's '96 4runner a couple of years ago and ran into trouble on the rears. Didn't join until a few weeks before I bought my '03 last March.
I've been on Yotatech for years but so far hasn't had as much discussion for 2003-present 4Runners as '80s and '90s trucks and 4Runners. That might change. Tacomaworld was better but (surprise) best suited to Tacoma owners. This site offers tons of '03-present 4Runner discussion.
I was a member of the cressida forum when I owned my cressy, and when I found my jewel I came home looking for a similar site and found... this loony bin.
Glad to have found it, I think I fit in well.

Found it via Google to research the 5th Gen before purchasing. This site was a huge help in making my final decision. I did the same thing before purchasing my WRX in 2003.
