(V8) Toyota OEM - 90915-YZZD3
Uneek & I use this one!!
(V6) Toyota OEM - 90915-YZZD1
&
Fram: Extra Guard - PH3614
... are both the same size.
We both use (V8) Toyota OEM - 90915-YZZD3
...because it's larger, therefore more filtration.

Yeah, I use the same. NAPA Gold is the same as WIX. Great filters, espcially for the price ($6).

Did some research awhile ago.
See here: Oil Filters - Dissected - Chrysler 300C Forum: 300C & SRT8 Forums
And here: Toyota Filters - Oil Filters Revealed - MiniMopar Resources
Used to use Mobil 1, Now use Purolator, but best IS OEM all the way. The 4.7 filter fits on my 3.0, so not only do I get good filtration I get MORE!

Since this is my first Japanese vehicle, I obviously don't know which is best for our 4Runners. But, I have read comparisons on oil filters, and from the test results that I've seen, Purolator "Pure One" was rated as the best oil filter hands down. Fram was rated low, and very near the bottom of all filters tested. I'm going with the genuine Toyota filters for my first few oil changes.

I've used PureOne filters since '97 coupled with Mobile 1 and have had good results on all my vehicles so why mess with a good thing.
I change my oil every 8000 miles or every 10 months and in that time it burns about 3/4ths a quart of oil and has zero leaks which is great for a truck with 157k miles.

My truck usually holds 6.5 quarts and I put a Mobil 1 oil filter on it last oil change and it held 7, so IMO that's enough for me, more oil more protection, longer intervals

Gotta take back my AmsOil vote.... AmsOil issued a TSB that indicates the Amsoil filter should not be used in any Toyota engine. I also gave up their oil and use Mobil1 with a Purolator filter.

I only use Napa filters - Spin Flow(Nascar) or the Napa Gold. They are trustworthy and havent failed me yet. No matter what filter you use change them every 5k or 3 months. DONT USE FRAM=THEY ARE JUNK

I use a WIX or a Napa Gold Oil Filter with Shell Rotella T6, Full Synthetic, 05W-40 in my 1997 SR5, 4 WD, V6.
Intead of using the small "Tea Cup" size Oil Filters, I use a longer filter. For the NAPA Gold I use the FL 1516 instead of the prescribed smaller 1348. For the WIX, I use the 51516 instead of the smaller 51348.
Instead of using 5 1/2 quarts of oil, I use the full 6 quarts of oil with the oil change.
Best to all.
