Does that mean his findings are the truth? Everyone has their opinion on "the best oil filter".

I purchased mine recently, ordered a batch of Toyota filters, I intend to use nothing else in this vehicle.

I just bought the TRD for my first oil change and I also bought a purolator boss. the TRD is twice the size so I think I'll stick to it.

Id only use OEM, and Purolator on my cars.

I have heard nothing but bad things about FRAM.

OEM initially, but now I don't care so FRAM probably since I can grab them in town. If my rig wasn't a rusted out piece of **** I'd probably be a bit more anal about things like filters. Never had a problem with the engine!!

OEM, so I only have to worry about one part number, one wrench size, and already know where to order for best deal.

Besides they were designed by people who made this.

Toyota components are bullet-proof. Issues often arise from poor wiring, assembly and/or maintenance. Suspect those first.
Next only to our senses, the multi-meter is the most important electrical diagnostic tool. Spend $6 at Harbor Freight or $$$ blindly replacing parts.

You might watch the video posted above before trusting your engine to a Fram filter.

Just picked up my new rig last week and have been wondering what oil filter to use. Went to the dealership and they gave me a basic paper looking filter for just over $5 bucks, is this the correct filter? What’s the difference between the TRD and Toyota oil filters? I didn’t know there was a difference.
