That turbo diesel is very cool. I wish we had one in the USA. How do you like it?

Hey Pitbull-I'm glad someone got the joke.
I also would like to know if you can get the diesel 4R in the states?

What fun tonight!

Hood Scoops: I wish I had one on my '90! I like the looks of a well-done scoop, tho I think the stock Toyota part looks too...Subaru. (IMHO) I have always beleived if you have a non-functioning scoop, grab a swazall and fix it! 5 minutes careful cutting and some rust-stop later, you have a working unit!
I am looking at installing louvers, keeping it tasteful, in my new junkyard hood I am going to be getting. I am going for moving hot air out and cooler air in.

I appreciate it. Like I said before, it is all of us together that are trying to make this a fun and informative site. I just happen to be sitting in front of my computer for about hours out of the day, so I recently have been able to help out more. Thanks for feeling our pain.

I can honestly say that some women "post hood scoop" are attractive to me, whereas, I was "flat line" on them "pre hood scoop"
I see, I want to touch and Play...
But this is AMERICA...you can like or Hate Hood Scoops!!!!!!
You can buy BIG hood scoops or Medium size hood scoops...
Being from Las Vegas, I get to evaluate numerous Hood Scoops on a daily basis....in general, regardless of the vehicle (age, type, color)...they cause me to turn my head...catch my eye...just me!!!
I do apologize for the Hijack...just feeling my hood scoop as I type!

I love the hood scope. It makes my 4runner looks like a monster truck from the front.(but only with smaller tires)

I love it!
I changed my car for an SUV (2005 T4R), and I'm spending less than half in fuel now. ($43 vs. $18 weekly).
It's a double effect: Diesel gives more MPG and diesel is cheaper. Here gasoline is $3.30 and diesel is $2.25 per gallon.

Lets face it, the Sport would not be the Sport, without the scoop. I'd say that 90% of hood scoops are non-functional. I wish it was optional!

I love the way the scoop looks. Like everyone else said I think it looks a lot more aggressive. It played a pretty big role in my deciding which to get. I traded in my Subaru WRX (that hood scoop was functional though ) for this and figured at least I can still have the hood scoop !

Impairs visibility???!!!
Impairs visibility???!!!!
You gotta be kidding me....
....if anyone thinks a hood scoop - any hood scoop - impairs their visibility, that's rediculous. If you are looking DIRECTLY at the end of your hood while driving, you're not surveying the road ahead and are driving very dangerously.
Furthermore, if there's anything in front of your car that you NEED to see THAT close to the front of you car while driving, it's as good as RUN OVER by the time you see it there!!!! (It's kind of like those fog lights that project about 5 feet in front of your vehicle - just pointless to you, the driver. If you are driving in fog, by the time you SEE, recognize, and react to something in the path of your fog lights, you've already HIT it!!!)
And as for parking, you can't see the front end of the car anyway, so you have to go by experiece.

Well, not to get into the hood scoop argument or the C&D argument but - your response indicates that you don't do any off-road driving.

I certainly hope that you don't do any driving in heavy fog.
