I take mine to a small hand wash that specializes in high end vehicles.
I know the guy and its a good deal.
I park outside and got a white 4runner so it gets a little moisture from the ocean and attracts dust.
I am pretty neurotic about how clean my vehicle is. And I just got it about 2 months ago so I am still cleaning it up slowly to my specs.

washing
I wash mine at least weekly... I agree, if the weather is nice a couple of beers and cleaning the ride is a great day!! I wash it myself during the warm months, and run it thru a "touchless" wash during the winter just to keep the salt off of it....

2-3 Times A Month
Since it's always foggy here & my truck unfortunately has to be parked on the driveway ... while I'm warming up, i spray down the truck w/ water.
Easier than a squeegee & I get to rinse off the rest of the truck. So it stays pretty clean.
And plus, it's silver.

I have the fog problem here by the beach also, but I don't wash it off with water. Since mine is black, that wouldn't really solve anything. I just squeegee the front window.
The part that bugs me is driving home late at night (midnight or 1 a.m.) because the dew streaks everywhere.
That's why I wash it every week, and sometimes I use an instant detailer in between washes. Gotta keep it nice and shiny.

I would go insane. I mean full on pulling my hair off, by washing it every few months. I make sure I do it every week, rain or shine. Just waxed it today, with full knowledge that it will rain tomorrow and possibly the rest of the weekend.

Every here and there... couple times a year. The newness wore off, so the 4Runner's on the back burner. But the 4Runner still loves me.

3-4 times a month. That's how I relax. Washing my car and my wife's car.
I normally wash ours cars early in the morning (weekend). Because all our cars are black. It's a pain to wash them when the sun comes up.

Old tread came back... I have to correct myself. Since my last post, I got so busy with another job (business) so 1-2 times a month now.

Every Week except in the winter....but I always check the weather to see if its gonna rain or something. I hate spending that much time to make her look shiny and the next day or two...it rains...that sucks... In the winter maybe once or 2 times also depending on the weather

Currently work from home, and car mostly sits in the garage. So I only really wash it up once a month.

I wash weekly, I drive down a limestone road for work. Usually hit a self wash on friday on my way home for the weekend. If it is after a road trip I will wash at home and detail better.

So I have a subscription where I pay $40 a month and I could literally wash it 10x a day if I wanted to. I usually run it through 2-4 times a week. Which brings up the question, can you wash it too much? Is there a possibility of damaging paint or wearing down plastic components more quickly if I’m washing it that often with high pressure?
