Bumper support bracket no longer available?

I took my rear bumper cover off to route a breather hose from the rear diff, and noticed one of the brackets is missing. Part number 52563-91601, for 06-09. Most sites will let me place an order for it, but 2 sites now have cancelled my order saying the part is "discontinued and is no longer available." The weird thing is the same bumper bracket for the pre-facelift is still available, I know because I accidentally ordered one and didn't realize it didn't fit until I tried to put the bumper cover back on...

Ironically, the page for this part on toyota.com says it's "a crucial part of the Rear Bumper" and "Like all auto parts, it requires occasional replacement." :rockthrow:

Does anyone know where I can find one without taking time off work and driving an hour to the nearest junk yard?

I've ordered several OEM parts from Japan using megazip:

52563-91601 - Retainer, Rear Bumper, Upper Side, Toyota OEM | Megazip.net

You may want to contact them first to make sure they have it.

You could try car-part.com Searcheable data base of junk yards nationwide who will ship parts to you.

+1 for this, I use car-part.com for all used parts as theyre OEM parts, come with pictures and you can get someone to put physical hands on it before shipping (before finding out you ordered the wrong part when it arrived and wasnt what was pictured online).

Thanks for the tip, but they don't have it either.

I sent a carpart request, but this is a $15 part (new) so I'm not sure how motivated they'll be. Might have to go to a junk yard and pull it myself. I'll probably just put the bumper back on without the support bracket.
