2021 OFF Road Premium Reoccurring P013C Engine Light Code

little history of the vehicle:

I purchased the car used with already 106k on the odometer. The previous only didnt take care of the car well and just put the bare minimum into maintenance. Ever since being in my possession i have been doing everything i can to get the runner back to tip top shape. Right after purchasing i took her on a 10k coast to coast road trip. probably about 2k miles in is when the light came on for the first time. My scanner told me it was an 02 sensor so i brought it to a dealer and got a new one installed. 500-1000 miles later it popped on again. from then its been popping on every now and then. some times taking thousands of miles after being cleared to come on again, other times only a few miles after being cleared. I learned that the previous owner replaced an 02 sensor during his ownership. i am assuming it was the same one. Another thing to note is i had a mouse behind the glove box chewing on some stuff. luckily i was in the car and scared him off.

needing help:
so the code reads 02 sensor slow response, rich to lean bank 1 sensor 2. looks like i cant DIY myself thru this and may need a professionals opinion. Does any one have any thoughts out there? the only other thread i read about this was with a tacoma and that didnt end well. Should i bring this to a dealer to sort out or try my local mechanics knowledge. Thinking maybe the dealer will be able to handle the situation better.

Start with indepth visual inspection. Check every inch of wiring harness beginning to end. Check associated grounds. Either a manual or Google needed to find the specific ground associated with your problem.

Given your thorough approach, it might be worth checking a few additional things. Since you've already replaced the O2 sensor, it could be worth inspecting the wiring and connections related to that sensor. The mouse incident behind the glove box could have caused some damage that might be affecting the sensor's performance.
