Hello everyone.

I'm selling my 2006 V6 Toyota 4Runner SR5.

Current mileage is just under 145,500. I am the second owner. I purchased it from my local Toyota dealer in March 2016 with 105,000 miles on it. Truck has been used as a household third vehicle.

In 2017 at 109,891 miles, I had an Old Man Emu lift kit installed by OK4WD in Phillipsburg, NJ. See OK4WD - Your Ultimate Source for Off-Road, 4WD, and Overland Parts and Accessories (no affiliation). They also installed Cooper Discoverer AT3 tires and changed both front and rear differential oils and transfer case oil. The slightly bigger tires required no cutting or body modifications. While owning the truck, I have not driven it off-road. I just wanted a mild lift for aesthetic purposes.

The truck runs strong and drives great. Shifts into 4WD with no problems. I drive it in 4WD once a month for about 10-20 miles to keep the 4WD system lubricated. I have all maintenance service records since I’ve owned it. I have changed the oil and filter every 5,000 miles with full synthetic oil and OEM oil filters.

Exterior

Since I’ve owned the truck from 2016, it was garaged for the first three years and then parked in the driveway for the last four years. The hood has one noticeable scratch as shown in the pictures and one small dent from a small branch falling on it while parked in the driveway. Looks like this can be pulled out. The corner of the left rear bumper has some paint scratched off when I backed into the basketball stand in the driveway four years ago. There are a few light scratches here and there, but otherwise the body and paint are in good condition for a 17 year-old truck. The stock wheels, grille and badges have been sprayed with black Plasti-Dip, some of which has worn off due to weathering.

Interior

Interior is pretty clean - Never been smoked in, and there are no rips or tears in the any of the fabric seats or the carpeting. No cracks on the dash board or on the doors. There are a few light scratches on some of the doors and some heavier scratches in the rear cargo area. Sunroof and rear window operate normally.

Frame

Has some rusted areas near the wheels, mostly around the suspension control arms. Front skid plate has some rust. Most of what I can see in the pics is surface rust, some heavier than others in certain areas. There are no holes in the frame from what I can see. Rear differential case has some rust too. Some rust underneath the radiator. I have sprayed Fluid Film underneath on the frame and other parts twice in the last two years.

Mechanical

There are a few dashboard lights that have been on for well over a year - the check engine light, the VSC Trac light and the VSC Off light. My OBD reader gives the following codes:

P0441 - EVAP System Incorrect Purge Flow
P0455 - EVAP System Leak Detected (large leak)

I have tried to troubleshoot these by the usual methods - new gas cap, disconnecting the battery terminals, etc. but have given up, and I refuse to take it to the dealer, since they will likely charge a small fortune to make these turn off. If I clear the codes with the OBD reader, they come back on within about 50 miles of driving. The codes have not affected the truck’s performance or driveability. It drives the same as if they weren’t on, still shifts into 4WD as normal. The TPMS light has been on for years and is probably from the spare tire.

Otherwise, the truck drives fine and is mechanically in good condition.

More recent service items include:

February 2023 - 140,207 miles - Replaced neutral safety switch

January 2023 - 140,022 miles - Replaced starter and starter relay

June 2022 - 138,578 miles - Replaced rear brake rotors, pads & calipers; recharge AC system

December 2021 - 135,385 miles - Install new OEM ECM module

October 2021 - 135,284 - Install aftermarket rear exhaust system

I have all maintenance and service records from the time I owned the truck.

I installed interior LED lights at some point soon after I bought the truck as well as LED light bulbs for the headlights.
I installed the N-Fab nerf bars and also have the OEM running boards.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for looking.
