Aftermarket Remote Start Dealer Visit
Tried searching but no luck. Has anyone taken their 4runner with Startx aftermarket remote start to the dealer to get their second key fob. I got a call that my second fob came in after almost a year and I need to bring the truck in to have it programmed. Do I have to pull the remote start or just tell them it's there? Hate to remove everything then put it back on but also don't want gremlins.i also looked on the manufacturer's website and didn't find anything. I figure someone here has done it.
Thanks. |
You will be fine, unless the dealer wants to play shenanigans. Having an aftermarket remote start will have zero impact on programming a new remote.
Aftermarket remote starts do not void warranties, search Moss Magnuson Act and aftermarket parts. |

It not like they have the most seasoned mechanics programming the fob. They hook a laptop up and a few minutes later its done. No need to even under the dash. |
