nice looking box for a decent price too, looks like it has side access too, that's a plus. a bit deep (ie tall) for my taste, I would be able to see in my fridge :D

I've had mine for about 2 weeks.
Pros: Easy to install, quality build and great storage. I was concerned that the top wing would not clear the JBL sub in the TRD Pro but there is about an inch of clearance.
Cons: Had an issue with squeeks, but a felt adhesive pad above the sliding drawer seems to have cured that. The MOLLE cutouts on the side of the box would be hard to access anything due to the top wings. I look at them more as a function for weight savings than extra storage. You will lose the accessibility of the storage area that holds your tire jack.
Overall, I would purchase again. Its a solid piece of kit.

Ah bummer, it looked like they might have been hinged, they don't move then? if not bummer. I pretty much expected them to lift open, like most other fitted kits.

That is correct, they are bolted on and will not hinge.

Thanks for confirming, regardless it is a nice, sturdy looking setup, at a pretty decent price.

did you use the turnbuckles to install it ? I want to be able to remove it if needed and love not having to drill to install it, but I'm a little concerned about it shifting around especially off road

You're welcome, just wanted to pass some savings along!!! Heard one of the guys say it on the fieldcraft survival podcast a couple months ago. Glad to know the code still works.

I wonder if you could still modify it though. It looks like the top wing parts are bolted on. I'm sure if you got creative enough you make it so that it hinges up. Or maybe not even install the top wing parts and just use it as a template for a wood wing kit and install your own flip up hinge.

Yes, you have to install the wings on after you install the box. So, you could leave them off if need be or build your own pretty easily.

Nice, the specs say the drawers are 32 in long, by coincidence a 14.5 pinned and welled collapsed AR should fit

Oh, I am sure you could. That gauge steel is easy to work with. You easily pop rivet a piano hinge and attach a form fit carpeted piece of ply or mdf . There is just so much usable space on the sides.
Sadly, box is too deep for me. I will keep and eye out and see it they come out with some different depth boxes. :)
