Leveling kit w/ 3rd row?
 

Despite lots of searching, I haven't found any meaningful discussions on the impact of having a 3rd row when choosing a leveling kit. I'm trying to decide between a 2.5/1.5 or 2/1 on a SR5 (w/3rd row) trying to get close to level. Should I factor in my 3rd row (about 100 lbs., I believe) when choosing my kit? For example, if I go with a 2" front, would it be better to go 2/1.5 instead with that extra .5 in the rear to account for the extra weight? I've noticed Cornfed sells both 2/1 and 2/1.5 (I think DAYSTAR just does 2.5/1.5). Is the 2/1.5 just for people who want some lift but keep the factory rake? Would not be cool to end up with reverse rake after all that money. Thanks in advance!

I got 2/1.5 Cornfed spacers w/TRD pro suspension and 3rd seats. I have a spare underneath. Truck seems level.

Nice! You fit 285 RGs on there too? That answers another question I've been researching on here. Granted, I'd still need to account for my SR5 suspension. You've got my dream setup though. Thanks!

Definitely 2.5/1.5. If I were to do spacers again, I would actually get 2.0 rear or do 2.0/1.5. Mine looks level until I add another 50+ pounds in the back.

That settles that. Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to go with 2/1.5. that way I don't have to worry as much about whether my stock UCAs are sufficient. I'm open to any recommendations on a 2/1.5, although Cornfed seems like good value.

Lift & Leveling kit Holiday Season Sale!

I was hoping someone can help me, I’m contemplating to get a leveling lift kit…not sure if it would help tho?

I have a stock 2016 limited (7 seater), I did recently put Falken WildPeak A/T3’s 275/60/20 … I did remove the back mud flaps and in the front, I used a heat gun to bend the plastic in … all is good, however, only when I reverse and turn I hear rubbing in the front… the rear rubs sometimes (also … I think)…

Looking at a side profile, the front spacing/gap between the wheel and the wheel well seems like 1-2” smaller than the rear

If I put in 2” lift in the front and a 1” lift in the back, would this help with the rubbing I’m experiencing?

Also, are there any other things I have to consider with doing this? Will I need new shocks or anything else?

The limited comes with the Xreas shocks
If you have a 4wd, you dont need to go over 1.5" in the front otherwise you have to do a drop down bracket for the front diff. The AWD system locks the front diff in when the axles get at too high of an angle, and anything over a 1.5 will make the diff lock in anytime you hit a bump and at speeds this could potentially break something.
If you have a 2wd you can run a 2.5" spacer up front no problems and you are going to need every inch of that 2.5" up front to get those tires to clear, in reverse you are likely rubbing the fender close to your feet, when you jack the front end up you will move the tire further downward away from this point.
You went from a 31.6" tire to a 33" tire, while that doesnt seem like a ton, the 4runners are pretty sketchy trying to stuff sweet meats under the front and you gotta lift them, move the inner fenders forward, and remove mud flaps pretty much at minimum. Luckily you didnt go too wide, otherwise you'd be in a pickle and need to do some chopping.

If its a 2wd you are going to need a 2.5" at minimum
if its a 4wd you can run a 1.5 without a diff drop
If you have a 4wd and want to go higher, be sure to get the diff drop down brackets
To fit those tires effectively i would run a 2.5" up front and 1" in the rear at bare minimum, or you can go to a 1.5" in the rear if you load it heavy and dont want to be squatting in the rear.

Check the OG fitment guide linked below for more info. You are in the red zone with 275/60/20 so likely need heavy modifications to clear your BMC and fenders.

I have a 2020 SR5P with 3rd row. I just had Eibach pro sport truck shocks and struts install. Front stock springs @ the 1.6" mark. 4th gen Eibach rear springs which gave me 0.75" of lift in the rear.

With a full tank of gas I have 0.75" of rake. Loaded up with stuff it gets to just about level which is exactly what I wanted.
