best way to strap down the hatch
What is the best way to strap down the hatch door securely and not scratch it, if I am carrying an oversize load that requires the back hatch to be opened slightly.
Any ideas? There's nothing on the hatch itself to allow for rope to anchor on to

I think you need the Tundra mod.

Just cushion tthe door, loop a strap through the handle and snug it down to a hook on the cargo area floor.
You're not trying to use the door to secure the cargo, just don't want it flopping about, right?

I say lower the window and wrap tie it down to the tow hook. No movement that way. The glass of the window will be protected inside the door frame.
