What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!
I have seen this thread over at the 3rd gen & 4th gen forums on here and thought it was a cool idea.
So let me be the first: Took the runner & the kids to Home Depot to load up with some do-it-yourself closet systems. Anybody else? |
Cleaned the crap out of it, and made an aluminum "false bottom" for the center console. Now I can hide stuff from the wife...:)

I drove back to OKC from Wichita, KS today. Watched the Air Force Academy mens tennis team play this weekend. I've owned my Trail for 1 week so far and my ODO reads 1,300 :( |
Drove it to work at Eddie Bauer and they STILL won't let me park it on the curb in front of the store as a marketing piece! LOL (yet we have a Landrover Defender poster in the window... what gives!).
and I wondered on the way back home if Griots Garage has a tool that makes it easy to clean and wax under the Gobi rack. Okki |

Took the wife to breakfast this morning, we like Waffle House, dropped her at home, picked up my son-in-law, his 12 year old nephew, and we went to New Orleans for the World of Wheels Car Show. Nice show, all kind of rides. :bravo:

Installed led's inside and outside, breaking 2/4 tabs on one mirror and 3/4 tabs on the other while swapping out the puddle lights...ouch. Seems secure so far but I guess I will find out at the car wash tomorrow.

Washed and Waxed then cruised around Tampa

I fixed the rubbing issue in my fender wells since throwing on some new shoes earlier this week. No more rubbing at all. I also installed some Husky mud guards in the front. Went out for a photo shoot to.

Drove to Home Depot and got two bags of Roxul insulation.

Pulled my 12' utility trailer across Houston to a furniture store to pick up my son's new bed.
Ok, actually that was yesterday, but it's more interesting than saying I used my 4R to put the trailer away in the side yard today. Glenn |

Cleaned the crap out of it.
Finished installing my wet okole seat covers, they are great! We originally bought the seat covers to protect out seats from the children and their carseats. Now im looking for car seat protectors to protects my seat covers, lol |
Went surfing and then threw my wet/sandy wetsuit in the back on my new Husky Cargo liner cause I could.

Installed a "stubby " antenna in place of the stock one.

I went to Subway.

got my 15K mile service + oil change, and convinced the dealership to give me new wipers front and back and a new air filter...it's the little things in life.

I was on my way to a dealership in Utah to pick up a new/used 2010 LTD, when 50 miles outside of Vegas the sales guy called and said they had sold it out from under me.....:cry:
Now I have to keep looking...It's been two months and I finally find a 4Runner with EVERYTHING I wanted and it's back to looking again |
Drove it out to get on helicopter to TN and NC.

Drove 500 miles back to the mountains after an impromptu road trip to Hays, Kansas to get a couple of days pheasant hunting in before the season closes.
Left Edwards, CO at 2:30am Saturday morning (after my friends got off of work), arrived around 9:30am local time . . . hunted all day, wild game for dinner, some local 'color', hunted all day Sunday leaving at 6pm local time getting home just after midnight. 46 hour trip, 14 hours and ~1300 miles of driving, 7 hours of sleep, 12 hours of hunting and 6 pheasant for the group.
