power antenna replacement
So I replaced the mast and the new one is working great but I just noticed the tip of the mast recesses into the main shaft by about a half inch. Is that correct, shouldn't it be flush and seal at the top? I bought a knockoff replacement not an OEM so maybe that is the problem?
Thanks Ron |
It should be flush. That said, if it's a cheap replacement....and it's actually working, just go with it. I've tried the cheap replacements twice now....and both have broken within a month. The more you mess with them, the faster they break.
PS. I got the fogs today! |
That's what I thought, I'll have to try an OEM mast, once winter gets here that will just freeze up and cause all kinds of problems.
Thanks, Ron Great! I'm glad they arrived already. |
