Avid Sliders

This is my second 5th Gen 4Runner. Loved my 2010 but needed 3rd row with growing family.

This time is decided to go with sliders instead of nerf bars. I am so glad I did.

I found a great local company that did an awesome job fabricating. (Avid Off Road)

Now I can get a lift and the short legged people in my family can still get in.

That looks good. Nice job. The reason you doing this is because it's cheaper(how much doe it cost by the way)? Or you have some special needs?

Do you mind posting an upskirt picture of those sliders? The mounting feet on those look pretty serious. How many attachment points do they have?

Looks good!

Looks awesome! How much did they run you?

6 mounting bolts per side.

I think they are very well made. Granted this is my first set of sliders.

It was a little more then nerf bars, but since Avid is local, I didn't have to spend anything on shipping.

I did it for three reasons:

1. Short people need help getting in, especially when I get my lift.
2. Parking lot armor, for people that don't know how to open their doors.
3. And to be ready for off-roading

$300 but this was the first 5th gen sliders they have made.

Couple things to note:

1 - These slides are designed for an SR5, hence the bar UNDER the frame in order to accommodate the rocker panels. Because they have to clear the lower rocker panels, you are losing a little ground clearance.

2 - Because they do not have gussets, they MAY be a direct fit for the LTD, but that's hard to tell from the pics. The XREAS lines may still need to be bent out a bit on the LTD in order to not rub.

Looks like a pretty nice job though!

Pretty confident, I jacked the truck up by them.

Nice to see a local shop making these. I will be giving them a call soon to see if they have some for trimmed rocker panels.

Those are really nice ! Would these fit on a Limited ? Ever since I took the running boards off my wife has been complaining. I don't want to be trimming rocker panels though and something like this might fit the bill for me. I might even be able to afford these at $300 plus shipping.

My guess is they would fit the Limited. When Avid was measuring they originally suggested removing the rocker panel, I did not want that.

Contact Brandon at Avid Offroad.
