Offroad Toyota Club

http://www.fjoffroadqc.com/ I never posted this in the clubs section, I probably should have done so already and shared my find. I know I had a hard time finding an offroad club that wasn't 90% heavily modified Jeeps or brand specific to Jeeps.

Club Toyota OffRoad Quebec. Check it out if you're looking for a mainly Toyota offroading club. It's not a large club but members include all Gens of 4Runners, FJ cruisers, and Landcruisers from the 40 - 80 series. Other 4x4 brands are welcome if for example you have a buddy with a Jeep you want to offroad with, or if you daily drive a Toyota but offroad a Jeep.

Stock to modified trails are organized.

The forum is mainly in French, but everyone is pretty bilingual, so don't let that stop you from saying hello even if you do it in English. If had been worried about that, I'd still be just watching YouTube offroad videos instead of heading out there.

I got a couple goodies to install but I wouldn't mind coming out for a run. How far out do you guys venture?

Haven't checked this section in a while. From Montreal we don't venture out more than 2 hrs away north to do offroading. Mapped the area and it's also about 2 hrs from Ottawa. Mostly rock and muddy ground if it rained. No mudding or blasting over sand.

Some guys will venture further away, some much further away to do some more expedition style trails with camping, maybe fishing. These are logging roads, fire roads, abandoned roads, stock or moderate lift friendly for ground clearance. But you never know what to expect.

Thats alright, I only just finished installing the "goodies" I was talking about last week. I wanted to get out but I had a crazy busy summer. Maybe next year.

It's hunting season now, we try to stay out of the woods so we don't spook the animals and mess up their hunt

Just thought I would mention that the above URL doesn't quite work anymore... it leads to a broken link, but from that broken link you can get:

Club / Forum TORQ

I might have to be in touch with those guys. Maybe I can find some more interesting (read: challenging) places to take my truck this spring. Being stuck driving on paved roads every day in a 4Runner is no fun at all.

Thanks. Link on first post fixed.

Yes people on there should be able to guide you to some interesting places. A full calander is already setup to members if you decide to sign up.
