How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

Folks,

Curious if you don't mind posting up how much you paid for your new 2014 4runners out the door price and what TRIM and options you got.

I'm only interested in OUT THE DOOR price.

Just want to see what it would cost me to trade mine in for a '14

Out the door price won't help you as taxes, title and license fees are different state by state.

Re

Yeah, taxes, title fees and even dealer paperwork fee can alter the out the door price.

That being said, i paid ~1000 under invoice with a KBB good trade in value on my car. I also had a few goodies thrown in on a 2014 LE 3rd row and running boards.

Hope that helps!

Todd

Neither will what someone else paid or traded-in or anything else, much less something based on the totally mythical invoice price.

Your dealer and your negotiating skills are the bottom line.

I would like to see out the door prices, tax differences are minimal, and all fees are negotiable.

Only way to negotiate with a dealer is out the door IMO...

Invoice this invoice that is all BS, the dealer will get his money one way or the other.
I only ask for OTD price, I don't care about anything else, period

you live in Mass so I think your price should be higher to help pay for ObamaCare

Trust me, with the amount of taxes that I pay, I'm already paying for Obamacare

On a serious note tho, I would like to see OTD prices not invoice stuff....
It's just the way I like to buy.

When you pay under invoice then get charged ridiculous fees by the dealer on top, means you overpaid....

Example, I bought my '11 SR5 for 33,975 OTD. To make that happen, they had to cut a lot of their "fees"

Sputnik 11-07-2013 11:36 AM

Neighbors of mine said they bought a '13 sr5 "under invoice" well they paid 37k+ OTD...
That's 3k more then me, and they didn't even get a 3rd row seat... They negotiated by invoice price

Tax differences are minimal???(!!!) So, a state like mine that charges 6% on $40K is $2,400.00. A state that has no sales tax is that much less "OTD."

All fees ARE NOT negotiable. Try "negotiating" with your state DMV on license fees lol. Those change considerably from state to state too. In the end you can "pay" the same for a vehicle in your neck of the woods as someone in California or my state of WV, and still owe around $4K more due to those "fees" you think you can get around like taxes, titles and license. Thus is the fallacy of asking a question like this to a large geographic area.

Truecar will give you more useful regional and national data than this post ever will. Try that.

If you ask the dealer to show you the invoice with holdback, advertising etc. most will show it to you. The best way to cut to the chase is deal with the internet manager and typically they have the authority to give up the most to make a deal.

To find out what your trade is REALLY worth, drive into a dealer that your not buying from and ask what they will pay for your vehicle. Tell them your moving out of the country or just have too many cars etc.

If you can get more than that as a trade in your probably doing ok without going through the hassle of selling it yourself.
