FS: 03-06 Sport Hood & Hood Scoop Parts

This Sport Hood (with hood scoop) & the three hoodscoop parts are completely brand new. I purchased them through a friend that worked for Toyota. I got a screaming deal, as some other longtime members have said. Unfortunately, I have never got around to mounting it. The main reason is because they only sell these primed, so it needs painting. For all 4 parts I was thinking like only $299.

I'll try to get some pics up here sometime soon (you can find some burried in the thread linked in my signature, but I'll get some better ones here eventually). I just saw the other guy selling his Limited's hood, so I thought I would join in the action. Actually, if someone would prefer to buy my Limited's hood, I might be able to do that instead and then I'll finally get around to painting the Sport hood.

I'll give you $200.00 for everything?

Thanks for the offer, but $299 is already a pretty crazy deal that I was unsure of when I typed it. Sorry I can't go that low. I can't take that large of a hit on it. To be honest, I'm still hesitant to let it all go for only $299.

YSutarko 03-17-2006 11:11 PM

for $299? interested .... let's see the pictures...

so you're selling
1. Sports hood
2. hood scoop parts ... which parts?

Fro-Runner 03-17-2006 11:17 PM

:iagree:
YEAH, what he just said.....Let's see some pics of the for sale goodies please!

Luxury 03-18-2006 06:18 AM

Yeah, pics would definitely be good....I'm sure it would help it sell faster; I have just been too busy lately, and posted this sucker up for sale on a whim. I will try to take some pics tomorrow. It is past 2am here so it might be later in the day tomorrow and depend on our plans.

The hood scoop is three pieces:

Main large metal insert that includes integrated bolts that also have small nuts on them.
Plastic piece that makes it non-functional, basically blocks the air/elements from entering.
Grill with circular holes so you don't see the plastic piece.
I will attach two pics I already have below:

Here is all the parts I got a one time: Notice the hood scoop stuff in the top left corner. Everything is laying on the actual hood, which had the underside of the hood exposed, but the box covered the exterior side.

Here is a better shot of the three hoodscoop components:

Bingo. I think I'll add a little advertisement now to my signature so that it appears in most of my posts so I can get a little more traffic to this thread.

The reason I am selling this is purely financial. I just bought a $950 warranty today for the runner and I am going to try to by a house. I still love the scoops, and wish I could install this, but I just got too many damn expenses right now, and need some cash. It pains me to pay almost a grand for a piece of paper and now I'm forced to get rid of the scoop. Everytime I drive by someone with a Sport I get totally jealous. Oh well, my loss and somebodies gain....at a crazy-good price.

HRunner, I got your PM. I would prefer to find a local buyer, so I don't have to deal with the shipping, but I'll try to get some sort of shipping quote. Do you have any suggestions? Anybody? He is in no hurry, so some sort of ground shipping I assume. Should I just take this sucker to the post office or Fedex or something to get the shipping estimate?

Thanks for the interest. Sorry to ramble off a long post.

I just wanted to let everyone know that my hood & all the scoop parts are still for sale!

One guy was going to buy it but his wife wouldn't let him part with the money. Another guy wants me to get him a shipping quote first, but I've been really busy and haven't got to it yet (he said there was no hurry).

Local buyers prefered, but if you know you want it, and what shipping method you want, I will get all over shipping it ASAP.

Sorry, I don't want to split this group up. I will only sell it as a package, unless I get offers for the individual parts seperately at the same time.

Luxury,

Just curious, do you, or anyone for that matter, know how much would it be to paint all that?

Koz 04-03-2006 02:33 PM

The hood alone costs $400. The hood with hardware costs $600, so $299 is half price. You will also need the insulation, it is different then the non-scoop insulation.
