T-SB-0009-15 TRD Pro Bumper/Fender Interference
It documents what is done for the front fender mod/cut done at port. Thanks to @natetech for posting the TSB file: Here is the a link to the PDF enjoy Just to note, the file is 8Mb |
Wow that's pretty detailed and a lot more work than I thought it would be. Good luck having any dealer follow all those steps correctly. Most will be a hack job.
"Get warm water and a lint free rag and clean..... " YEA RIGHT !!!! |
Thanks, Anyone know if this was addressed on 2016 TRD Pro?

Why don't you go outside and look? |
Sure enough, they trimmed it sometime before delivery - 2016 TRD Pro

hmmm, this explains my problem...
I got a new 2016 TRD Pro in October. Unfortunately hit a deer in March. Car was at the body shop for 3 weeks and finally got it back. Only body damage, had to replace grill and front bumper.
Reversed out of my driveway and turned the wheel fully left and heard/felt rubbing from the front right tire (cue sinking feeling). So bummed since the car was brand new before I hit the deer. Never had a single incident of rubbing pre-deer. I bet they put a stock bumper on at the body shop and did not do any of the required trimming of said bumper, so now it's rubbing. Wonder if they'll do this for me. Agree, good chance they will do a crap job of it. Maybe I should do it myself. |

Just discovered this post. My '16 Quicksand Pro has jagged but uniform cuts on both sides of the front bumper. I always thought it was kind of unfinished looking. Does anyone else have this on a '16 or newer Pro?
|
The ones I've seen in Colo Springs have the fender well pulled all the way forward, so it's in front of the plastic bumper parts and it's trimmed with what looks like a razor knife.

Here are some pics. Actually, the passenger side is more jagged than the driver side. Pics are of the front bumper cover (quicksand) and the fender liner.

I think one in the showroom had a more professional job where it wasn't jagged while the other looked like it was done with safety scissors. |
The Jax port did a good job on mine, if you didn't know to look for it, you wouldn't notice.

thank you for this, I had to remove the liner to get to the fog lights and I must of used the wrong holes to put it back on. finally the noise will be gone.
btw the dealer blamed it on me putting on off road over sized tires.... ummmm they came with the truck |
Had the best luck with pr of tin snips , nice clean cut , easy to make small cuts as you go !
