stupid "popping" sound under dash
After my last fire road trip, I've developed a popping sound on the drivers floor side. It's not really a rattle, but a popping sound. Like hollow plastic hitting hollow plastic. It's not very consistant either. It happens on bumps, but also happens when I turn the wheel from side to side.
Also, the air vents that blow air towards your feet seem to be a little lose. Can somebody give their floor vent a wiggle and let me know if it's bolted in or kinda lose. Has ANYBODY had anything like that? I can't find it for the life of me. Thanks guys, I'm trying to avoid the dealership. It has never been in and I want to keep it that way. |
"popping" possibility
Here's a possibility. I noticed it after some particularly "spirited" offroading as well.

COOL, thanks! I'll check it out this week.
It basically sounds like my key fob hitting the plastic dash. Is that how you would describe the sound you fixed? |
I believe I have the same popping noise coming from lower part of my dash... I have a 08 Sports ED. Were you able to find and resolve this popping sound? The message was nearly 10 years ago and links are no longer available. Hope you may remember and thank you in advance.
