Finally Front Disco's That Work
I've been working on these with a member from the FJ Cruiser forum for the last month or so. He came to me with a design that had been available in Australia, but that company stopped making these.
Link The new front disconnects for the 4th, and 5th Gen's are now available. These will allow you to disconnect the front of your 4runners WITHOUT causing any damage to your CV's. Pull two pins and you're good to go. Pictures are from an FJ Cruiser, but the 4runner's are the exact same. You pull the pin, then the sway bar can slide on the link pin?

What is the pricing on these?
It doesn't really say in your link... Thanks |

Glad to see this option become available. I thought about this approach when doing my setup. Seems like it would work.
The advantage of it would be a quicker connect/disconnect plus the fact that the factory sway-bar remains intact. You could always go back to regular links. Only downside I could think of was noise and the potential for some binding if things did not stay clean. If my current setup gives me any issues I will give this a try. |
Following so I can read up on this tonight. My work firewall blocks some picture sharing services.

Some pics of them off the vehicle.
Similar to your post about with the double disconnects. Thanks, they look good to me so far! |

Sorry for the naive question but what is the purpose of this setup? Similar to that of the jeeps where the sway bar can be disconnected?

The pin is what I would really like to see.
I want to be sure that it is thick enough not to be sheared, which could cause sudden handling issues on road. But I am very interested in getting a set for the front! |
