On 12-18-15 I took delivery of Falkor, my 2016 TRDPro 4Runner. When I picked it up from Team Toyota of Langhorne, PA, it had 3 miles on it. Having a fully built 2007 FJ Cruiser before the 4Runner, and being the guy behind Northeast Expeditions, I knew the 4Runner wouldn't stay stock for long.

Within the last 3 weeks, I have already logged over 4000 miles on Falkor.

On the 3rd day of ownership, I removed the bug shield, rigid running boards, installed the Rigid Industries D2s with Rigid Industries' fog light mounts, and disabled the day time running lights

On the 5th day of ownership, I received the Husky Liners' weatherbeater front and rear liners. Installed those immediately since the next day I was leaving out for a 3300+ mile road trip to Tennessee to visit family for the holidays. I also threw in an ARB snatch strap, two Dragline Offroad synthshackles, a Frogtoggs rain jacket and put on the Smittybilt beaver tail. All needed items since I didn't know what kinda trouble I was gonna get into in Tennessee haha. I put a TRD decal on the dash for an added touch.

6 days after purchase, I set out on my 3300+ mile road trip to Tennessee. The following photos were some of my favorite from the trip. While driving the dirt and gravel roads through Mississippi and Tennessee, the TRDPro suspension really proved their worth over the washboard at 60+ mph. After seeing the way the 4Runner handled at those speeds, I decided that I wanted to keep the TRDPro suspension and it settled my mind on the Toytec Lifts' 2" TRDPro lift. Why get rid of something that works so well? Later on when the suspension wears out, I will then go ham and completely upgrade it. You can see more of the trip on my Instagram page (link in signature) or Facebook page at facebook.com/neexpo.

After arriving home from the trip, I had the AFE Pro Dry S filter waiting on me. Did a quick install of it and took photos to compare stock from the performance filter. The filter list that it fits the 2010-2014 FJ Cruiser and 2010-2014 4Runner. Knowing that the FJ motor and the motor in my 2016 4Runner was the same, I knew this filter would work. I could tell a slight difference in the way the 4Runner drove after in the filter change. The motor didn't feel like it was starving for air anymore. Had a bit of a pep in its step after the install. Horsepower and 0-60 times, I can't tell you the difference...if there is any. I just know that Falkor can breathe better now! I also ordered up the rest of the goodies after I made it back home and a few days later I received two more packages. One being the Husky Liners' rear cargo liner and WeatherTech dark side visors. Installed those the same day I got them.

Hahahaha. Glad to see you're interested in my build thread! I've been secretly peeking at yours lol! I love what you did with the switch panel below the climate controls!

As of now, that's all I have for my build thread, but stay tuned! More parts are on the way and I have breathers to relocate using polyethylene mufflers (same thing that ARB uses for their diff breather relocation kit)

Awesome.
Love the white - fired up to see it with the new lift.

They are CRAZY bright! At night I can't even see my halogen headlights. Definitely worth the upgrade. I wired them into the OEM fog light switch so I can turn them off if they annoy people too much. But I did the whole trip to Tennessee and back and daily driving with them on and no issues with the police. Lol.

The brackets were $67 and the lights I got on sale for $199 (normally $360). There was a Christmas sale on 4wheelparts.com.

What beam pattern?

Looking forward to seeing the lift/leveling kit installed and a review of it. :thumb:

They are the driving beam. On my FJ I had the regular duallys in a fog pattern and they worked great. When I went with the D2s in the 4Runner I wanted a beam that is wide but also projects down the road a bit. These are not the DOT approved duallys so be careful if you decide to run them. I'm a law breaker so I don't care lol.
