Lets talk about colors

If you had to do it all over again >>>>>>>>>>

Would you pick the same color or switch ???????

I bought Galactic Gray and I do like it a lot , although if I was to get another one it would most likely be Silver.

My new 4Runner did not arrive yet, but for the last 4 months I have gone down to the dealer to stare at a 2006 nautical blue. I am confident I made the correct color choice. In the sun sparkle blue metal flakes. From an angle or cloudy days it can appear black. I find it to be a most unusual color. I was torn between this and salsa red. First time I saw the color change I was sold. This is not considered by Toyota to be a chameleon color, but if you get a chance check it out.

I most definately would keep my nautical blue color. I love it and would not change it! Thats my 2 cents

White. I am a sucker for white. The only reason I went with sliver this time was all my past 5 cars has been whites, and eventho I like white so much, I kinda feel weird that ice cream trucks and washing machine also has the same color with my cars.

I originally thought I wanted a black 4Runner, even though all my gearhead buddies told me black shows every speck of dust, every swirl, etc.
Then on a Sunday morning in November I walked into the local Toyota dealership, to see what a new 4Runner looks like in person. The bright sun was shining through the dealership's windows on a Galactic Gray SR5 standing in the middle of the showroom. The color was stunning and I decided right there I had to get my new truck in that color.

I've had no regrets. The color changes dramatically depending on sunlight conditions. On a snowy day with flat light it looks almost black. On a bright day the metallic flakes almost give it a deep purple hue. But mostly I just think the dark gray is a classy color.

I probably would pick either silver or galatic gray

I orignally wanted black as well. For the same concerns jpalaska mentioned, I got silver. It hides dirt and scratches well. No regrets with silver. There has to be a reason why every other car out there is silver. ;):

But I'd be willing to take a white, black, Galactic Gray or Shadow Mica 4Runner in no particular order. The color palette offered on the 4Runner looks good, can't go wrong with any color. At least they don't offer purple (earlier Accords), torquiose or lavender (earlier Camrys) or any other cheeseball color on the 4Runner.

All my past vehicles have always been black , I love the GG color because its still looks tough and classy at the same time. The silver looks nice if I was to buy another one , but like the GG a lot.

The paint on my truck ( 1st foreign vehicle for me ) is so shiney and clearcoat is excellent , the metal flakes in the GG color are stunning in the sun. Never have my american vehicles had paint like this.

I originally wanted Natural White until I saw Driftwood Pearl. The color seems to shift depending on the amount of light that reflects of it. Sometimes it looks Gold, Light brown, light brown-green, and at times deep silver. A true blue color would have been nice. The FJ Cruiser Blue or Tacoma Speedway Blue or even the Blazing Blue on the Yaris Liftback looks good.

No regrets. White rocks.

My previous 97 4Runner was a dark metallic red and I was planning on getting the salsa red. Ended up getting the titanium metallic when I saw it at the dealer. Although the red stands out in the parking lot, dark colors show dust, scratches, and swirls easily. My silver 06 4Runner never looks dirty and easy to upkeep. Since the 4Runner is tall and distinctly styled, it does not disappear in a sea of silver cars at a parking lot. The titanium metallic, in particular, is a very bright, pure silver and looks better than other silver colors.

I'd get a Natural White if I had the chance to do it all over again. I actually fell in love with white in the showroom floor way before I ever laid eyes on my GG. My dealer didn't have any more whites left and I was going to head to another dealer, until I saw the salesman drive up in a dressed up GG. My change of heart was instantanious, and I drove out the lot with my GG that same night.

Like some people already stated, you can't really go wrong with any color that Toyota has to offer on the 4th Gen. They are all very nice colors in there own way.

I know black can be a pain for maintenance (I've a couple black vehicles before), but on the Sport with the silver grill and roof rack, it looks stunning.

That's going to be mine.

I like Galactic Gray, but wouldn't mind Salsa Red or Nautical Blue (if available) on my next 4Runner Limited, which will be either a 4x4 with a v8 or a 4x4 with a diesel.

A 4Runner looks great in any hue, but I still love how my silver one looks - either day or night. It is nice & shiny, easy to keep clean and doesn't show dirt as much as darker colors.

My #1 choice was Salsa Red, but they only had it in the Limited model.....and I don't have that kind of dinero floating around.

Silver and white were my #2 and #3 choices, and I have no regrets about going with the silver color. Of course, black looks best on a nice, sunny day or at night under the lights; but who has the time to keep it clean?
