Driver side a-pillar grab handle?
Anyone know of have any info on installing a grab handle on the driver side a-pillar? i saw someone on you tube had done one and it looks great but he never responds to anyone's comments on how to do it. looking to know how it can be done on a 2017. thanks guys

Keep in mind, there is an airbag right there.... so.... just sayin'

Is there actually an airbag there? Because I don't know if the handle ACTUALLY affects anything:

Then as long as you make sure whatever backer that holds the bottom handle on doesn't contact the SRS airbag then it should be perfectly safe.

The 4th gen had a driver side handle. Maybe you could adapt one of those.

Should be able to mount the passenger side handle, I just need to get a part number, and you'd use a longer bolt on the top bolt, and make some sort of backer for the bottom, as long as it doesn't affect the airbag.

I use the steering wheel as a handle. Did the same thing in my old 4th gen even though there was a handle there. Works fine. No chance of messing up the airbag. No mods necessary.

The A pillar grab handle is missing on the driver's side...

Some other cars have it on the drivers side. If you look at Toyota’s own line up the land cruiser has it as well.
