Snow runs

Hi beautiful people
This is mostly for my north cali people!

I have a nephew who has been harassing me about going to the snow. I shall. E getting my 4Runner back from a timing belt fail this week, so I was wondering if you guys can point me in the right direction, of a easy to moderate trail that has snow and great places to sled/ snowball fight?

Thanks in advance!

Depending on where your at. Morman emigrant trail is a good area. With a 4runner and 4x you should be able to get passed all the flat landers who can’t drive on snow and find a good place on the road/snow too hang out. Take some trips up 80 there might be some good spots there too.

Will Morman trail be open now?
I will be going March 30 from CO to SF Bay Area through Vegas, Death Valley Alabama Hills and Bishop. So was thinking to take that trail if it's open in the winter.

The gate isn’t open at hwy 88 but the road is open at sly park area. You can’t come in that way. they close a gate near the top of the hill too keep traffic out and from getting stuck
