Has anyone traded in a 3rd Gen for another Runner or other vehicle? What was the condition, mileage, and trade in value?

I'm curious what I could get if I traded mine in. I might be in the market for a new vehicle IF i can find one that is not loaded with all the latest tech crap or at least very little of it.

trade in value will be ZERO
so your thinking of trading in a 99 4runner, let alone a 99 car.an almost 20 year old car they wont give you jack shi* unless they have a giant mark up on what your thinking of buying
well maybe if its a place that sells and trades 4runners

Don’t do it. If you are determined to change vehicles sell it yourself. You’ll only get somewhere between $1-2k off of the new vehicle (kbb on an 02 SR5 with only 150k in good shape is about $2k) and that same amount would be negotiated away if you did not have a trade so you will essentially be giving it away for nothing...

I most likely will not do it and probably just sell it myself. I was just curious if anyone got anything decent for theirs.

Nah. I am not a big fan of this suv and i need a truck. I will also be picking up a jeep and there will not be enough space for all three.

put it on craigslist...based on the crazies in the bay area, POS rotted out ones that look like something illegal happened inside still list for thousands. Im pretty sure they dont sell close to the asking, but you should still get a thousand more than trade in.

When I was looking at an 06 Runner they offered me $1500 for mine. I didn't take that bait so still driving my 3rd Gen and no 06 in the drive. I'll just drive until she drops. She's easy to fix n all. Good luck!

Keep the 4runner for wheeling trips so toy don't freak out when it gets damaged.

Then get the Tacoma for your commuter and hauler. It's what I did. I steal wife's Tacoma every day. Haha
