P2238 and P2241 Codes

Ran both P2238 and 2241 codes on scanner and I'm getting that 02 sensors need replacing. This happened after stomping on the gas on my 2003 V6 Sport. Do you guys know which sensors these are? From what I see there four O2 sensors in my truck? Can anyone help me on which sensors it is I need? Part # or aftermarket part # would be great. Figured I'd ask some with experience than I for this project.

Check the A/F fuse in the engine compartment. Should be #29

Checked the problem out on All Data. Said I should have continuity from terminals 1 and2 and no continuity from 3 and 5. I checked the fuse.
From terminals 1 and 2 I get 162 ohms. OL from terminals 3 and 5. So I want to say the relay is alright?

I would have to look at my All Data again to be for sure. When I had that issue, the fuse wasn’t even there.

Let me know what you get because it did seem odd that both sensors went bad on me at the same time.

Have you tried resetting the codes to see if they come back?

Just turned on my car and the check engine is gone? Could it be the sensors were dirty due to corrosion? I sprayed it down with some PB earlier today.

That’s why I was for sure it was the fuse.

Since this happened after hard acceleration, I figure it blasted some carbon onto the sensors and fouled them up and now after a bit of time the carbon is gone which is why I thought resetting would work but it looks as if the ECU reset itself, hopefully everything is good now and your issues are solved.

Driving these V8s like a baby is sometimes not good, especially if it's in need of new plugs, I have always romped on mine at least once a month, just a little short blash just to help keep to much carbon from building up in the exhaust and engine.

I know I've heard babying them isn't good also. I will try to give it another stomp every now and then. Mine is the V6. Not too shabby for what it is speed wise.

I misread your OP and my mine's eye saw V8, but all internal combustion engines operate much the same and carbon buildup is a common problem, which the V6 using copper spark plugs it is very important to replace them the recommended every 30,000 miles or they don't burn the fuel mixture efficiently and thusly the carbon buildup is much more than normal and at some point could cause other problems.

Also just keep in mnid that romping on the gas pedal often will greatly affect the gas mileage, so I don't do too it often nor all the way to the floor just enough to quickly kick it into passing gear as if you were trying to pass a slower vehicle on the busy road, and also never so long so it "redlines" on the tach.

thought id reply here instead of a new thread *P2238*

2004 T4R V6 SR5 250k+ mileage

showing 1 error code P2238. had previous codes so what I've done so far was

-replaced both upstream o2 sensors and the passenger side downstream sensor along with a new catalytic converter (passenger side).

-put in a new MAF sensor.

-new EFI Relay fuse [R16 - EFI]

-new Power Relay fuse [R17 - A/F Heater]

what else can I do since I can't pass inspection. Also I've cleared the codes many times after doing something to the vehicle.

I just ordered all 4 sensors O2 and AFR sensors yesterday. Looking to find some aftermarket cats that will work and not throw off the readings and going to bite the bullet and have it all replaced. That should fix my issue I am hoping.
