What winches are you guys running in the C4 lo-pro bumper?

I'm trying to decide on a winch today so I can get it by the weekend. I'm looking at the Warn VR 10-S but I'm unsure if it will fit without relocating any of the parts (I prefer to get something that will just fit).

What winches are you guys running?

I will be installing a Warn Zeon 10-S this weekend. I have had the C4 front bumper on for 6 months or so. Just now getting around to winch install. I’ll let you know how it goes.

I have a Smittybilt X2O Procomp (both the 10k and 12k are same size)
Synthetic line, aluminum hawse fairlead. Fit the bumper just fine.

I did have to make a small notch in the lower end of the L bracket coming down in front of the radiator. This was due to the cross support bar on the winch.
I mounted my control box on the side vs the top. This allowed for much easier access to the on/off switch.

I also have a 20" led light bar in the bumper. Winch still has plenty of room.

Just a note* I found it easier to thread the rope through the fairlead, then attach it to the drum. set it remainder of the rope to the side. Installed the bumper. Power everything up. Then spool in your rope.

I will be running the Smittybilt X2O 10K w/ synthetic Rope on mine when I get it.

I decided to give the Warn VR10-S a try and it did indeed fit. I did have to move the hard line running horizontally across the radiator though and it is sitting on top of the control pack.

Can the stock hook on the SB x20 be swapped out for a Factor 55 flatlink? It looks permanently attached from the pictures?

You cut the hook off.

Got it..pretty straight forward! Looks like the x20 will work with the SSO hybrids as well.

There are few good youtube videos that show you how to use the tool and rethread the rope once you install your attachment. Super easy!!

Im running a Smittybilt X20 10k as well. I had my mechanic buddy cut my hook off with the air grinder and added a a factor 55 flatlink. Ive used the winch twice for recovery it is a beast for the money

You can also unthread the eyelet if you didn’t want to destroy that hook or don’t have a grinder. The flatlinks have a sliding pin to hold that eyelet. The splicer link and others have to be hand threaded and then the tail gets braided back into the line
