2020 TRD Pro Updates - Army Green & Push Button Start

2020 Sequoia TRD Pro

Plus:

Toyota also announced upgrades for the rest of the TRD Pro lineup. The Tacoma, Tundra, and 4Runner TRD Pro models receive a new 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Amazon Alexa. The Sequoia gets a version of the upgraded infotainment system with a 7.0-inch touchscreen, however. Tacoma and 4Runner receive a few exterior updates, and push-button start is now standard across the TRD Pro lineup.

Now for my personal conundrum.

I’m retired Army.

Do I continue the trend of black? (2008, 2012, 2016)

Or do I get a specialty color in 2020?

2020 4Runner TRD Pro | Toyota

Looks like the moon roof is still standard on the Pro, as is the FJ style rack. All trims will get Toyota safety sense and Android Auto. The Pro grill gets an ugly rectangle for the TSS.

Wish the 4Runner got the panoramic view and multi-terrain monitor cameras like the Tacoma. That's an awesome standard feature for off-road.

Now the question is, do I get a 2019 TRD ORP in a couple months or wait until fall to get 2020 ORP with the Android Auto support? Decisions decisions...

Love the Army Green, but the standard moon roof on the Pro makes it not an option for me. I need every inch of headroom I can get.

Is there any possibility that these are only the initial batch of changes for 2020? Maybe there will be more changes before the final MY2020 is actually released? Otherwise it's a bit disappointing that this is all we get, especially given all the speculation of new interior + powertrain for this refresh. Multi-terrain monitor would be dope, and a better cluster screen.

This is it. This is not a refresh. 2021 is the model redesign / 6th Gen.

It's doubtful. The 2019 stuck to what they announced at the Chicago auto show last year. The most disappointing part for me is that they still haven't added any LED headlights. All the other TRD Pro models have them. Hate how they neglect the 4Runner. It doesn't even get Cement or Quicksand available on non TRD Pro models like the Tacoma and Tundra do. Seems like Cement will still be available on the 2020 Tacoma.

Any power train changes would be on a 6th gen.

Exhaust tip. Go to Volke’s link to the Toyota website to see for yourself.

Can anyone confirm if that’s the special color of 2020 trd Pro and does the 4runner have push start and  play ?https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a0c000f05b.jpg

The only thing I'd want is to somehow retrofit the new 8" infotainment system with android auto into our existing 5th gens. I'm so over Entune.

Yes.

Already 2020?

I am glad I just 2019 and do not need to bother disabling the nanny radar to get lo-Pro and winch in. And I like turning key. And aftermarket Kenwood is better.

damn army green... wonder if it will look better than cement
