Looks like it should be, however, we have not tested with existing ladders. We may make a ladder in the future.

The roof of the 4Runner dives down at the front towards the windshield so the middle/rear of the rack is 3.5" above the roof, the front is about 5".

Is that a typo on the website, or does it really only weigh 36 lbs? The Prinsu rack is listed at 85lbs and it's made of aluminum too.

Looks damn nice, but regarding the lower weight, perhaps the cross bars aren't as sturdy? The LFD Off Road cross bars at least look more sturdy, not sure if they are or not.

36lbs is correct including the steel mounting brackets, plus or minus the hardware and lightbar brackets if you get them. Maybe their weight is incorrect?
