Softex heated seats for softex ventilated seats?

Alright hear me out. If you live where it is cold most of the year and have a limited with ventilated seats, would you be at all interested in the non ventilated softex seats from a ‘19 trd orp? Black with red stitching. I hear the seat warmer is warmer but correct me if that’s wrong. I spend my time in Texas and Southern California where it’s HOT. I’m happy to trade and improve both our seat situations.

Any takers?

The seats in the Limited aren’t Softex, they’re real leather with heat/cool function.

I have both the Trail Premium and a Limited. I will say the Softex in the TP heats up faster and feels warmer.

Thank you for the correction! Alright who wants to ditch that crack prone leather and get into that softex life?

I live in South Florida and use these - ARIES SEAT DEFENDERS. They are excellent!

Funny. I doubt you'll have takers but I give you a 10/10 for creativity and problem solving. I like my softex seats but agree with the previous post about them getting hot super fast. We are not as hot in Houston as you are in Austin but our cursed humidity more than makes up that difference.

Here in DC, the only thing more warm and humid than the hot air from politicians and lobbyists is my ass on a day with a 72 degree dewpoint.

I realllllly wish I had ventilated seats.

I wouldn’t get too excited. The ventilation on the limited seats is pretty poor.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s better than nothing but definitely not as good as the competitors.

Has about the same output as an old tired dog breathing on you.

My ass has no problems perspiring when it gets hot to cool my ass down...........

JK, i ended up gettin leather seat covers to solve my first world problems.

Yeah I’m trying to find an alternative to the supposed $3,000 people are charging to add ventilated leather seat covers.

Buy GX460 seats?

They're fantastically comfortable, have a lot of adjust-ability, and are heated / ventilated.

And supposedly they bolt right up with no modification.

Those are for people with leaky bladders/sharting in your pants. Not sure how that is going to cool his junk. :wink2: Ahhh, unless you fill the bucket seat cover with ice...

I've tried maybe 3-4 ventilated seats and none of them stood out to me as really effective. I am in Texas where it gets incredibly hot so maybe that's a reason but overall seat heaters work much better than seat coolers IMO. On any vehicle. I need to try the seats in a new Range Rover, I hear those are the best. For 60K miles at least.

4Runner is a much better rig, but the seat coolers in any newer explorer are wayyyy better.

They bolt right up because they are literally the same seats that are in the limited.

My 2019 Limited Nightshade ventilator on cool gets super hot. Like the motor is getting way hot. Makes the cool ventilation useless. Anyone else have this issue? Dealer says they cannot replicate it, but hard to convince them when it's 108 degrees out, the seats are always hot lol
